That was my thought too; odd that it is also the first episode in which Jasmine will appear.
So maybe the finale episode for Jekyll and Hyde; and the introduction of Jasmine and bringing Aladdin into the story more fully since the first episode of S6.
I’m thinking Jasmine’s first appearance in 604 will be brief, and perhaps her and Aladdin will get their own centric sometime afterwards. Anyway, guess 604 being a Jekyll and Hyde episodes makes sense, with Dr. Whale’s return just recently announced.
[adrotate group="5"]Hmm. As long as the bloopers are actually funny this year (been pretty dry the past few ) then that ALMOST makes up for not have more commentaries. Really surprised there’s not one for the 100th.
I actually found the Season 4 blooper reel to be rather funny, but yeah here’s hoping Season 5’s is good. Aside from the 100th episode, the biggest missed commentaries for me were “Our Decay” and “Sisters”. Not that I expected both of those to make it, but at least one of those would have been nice. Particularly if they had gotten both Lana and Bex for “Sisters”. Maybe the lack of commentaries come down to who’s available and when? Or it could be that perhaps some attempted commentaries weren’t deemed entertaining or interesting enough? The episodes chosen for commentaries have been quite random, especially for Seasons 3-5.
So… let me get this straight.
First they bring Will over to OuaT and pretty much destroy his happy ending from OuaTiW.
Then they cast the same actress that played Alice & Cyrus’s daughter on OuaTiW as young Cruella in OuaT.
Then they bring the apparently same Jafar from OuaTiW over to OuaT but recast him.
And now they’re using some of the locations from OuaTiW on OuaT?
Yet they still want us to believe that OuaTiW is canon? This is getting harder and harder every day.
To be fair, they’ve recycled sets within the parent show itself, too. For example, the writers have stated that the mines set was also used for both Rumple’s cell and Cora’s underground hideout in Season 2. It’s down to how they redress the sets/locations, and the angles they use.
Maybe I’m wrong, as it looks like they filmed there for Alice’s house?

Apparently there are only 3 commentaries. “The Dark Swan” with Adam, Eddy and Jennifer, “Birth” with Colin, David H. Goodman, and Jerome Schwartz (which was already released for iTunes Season pass holders earlier this year), and “Only You” with David H. Goodman and Andrew Chambliss. That’s kinda disappointing, as there are usually at least 4-5 commentaries. You’d think the commentaries would be the cheapest and fastest bonus features to produce. However, it looks like we have a wealthy amount of deleted scenes (18 of them at about 20 minutes total) and bloopers (almost 6 minutes long).
“If you’re going to have Jekyll [Hank Harris] and Hyde [Sam Witwer], there has to be a mad scientist convention,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. Adds EP Adam Horowitz: “Let’s just say mad scientists stick together.”
Dr. Frankenstein interacting with Dr. Jekyll? Penny Dreadful called, and they want their idea back. lol.
