So is he forever stuck as a tree?

It’s possible “Valerie Vale” may have a connection to Vicki Vale, one of Batman’s love interests in the comics.

    Quote

According to TVLine, Valerie is Vicki’s aunt.

Jamie Chung will be appearing in Season 3 as Valerie Vale: http://tvline.com/2016/06/20/gotham-season-3-jamie-chung-valerie-vale-cast-fox/

Guess we won’t be seeing Mulan back on OUAT for a good while, which I wasn’t expecting either way.

Any one wanna predict the Episode Commentaries?

    My guesses:

501— Jennifer Morrison, Adam and Eddy

    506: Amy Manson

516: The Writers and Greg Germann

    522/23: Adam and Eddy, Lana

We already know that a commentary for “Birth” with Colin O’Donoghue , Jerome Schwartz and David H. Goodman exists, as it was released to iTunes for those who had a Season pass for Season 5. I expect that will be included on the Blu-Ray. I don’t recall ever getting commentaries with any of the guest stars, so I’m not expecting ones with Amy and Greg. If 516 gets a commentary, it would probably be with Bex. Or maybe they’ll do a commentary for 519 with both Bex and Lana.

This will probably be the highlight of the dvd. I hope this feature is released early online. James Marsters is always a good actor (though he will forever be remembered as Spike from Buffy).

Normally at least one of the DVD/Blu-Ray special features are previewed at SDCC.

SDCC 2013 – They showed a sneak peek at Good Morning Storybrooke from the Season 2 DVD/Blu-Ray.
SDCC 2014 – They showed the Inside the Writers Room segment from the Season 3 DVD/Blu-Ray.
SDCC 2015 – They showed a sneak peek at The Three Who Stayed (Random people who stayed in Storybrooke after 4A, including one played by Patton Oswalt) from the Season 4 DVD/Blu-Ray.

I could very easily see them previewing this Tales from the Underworld segment at this year’s SDCC next month.

TALES FROM THE UNDERWORLD: A KNIGHT WITH CRUELLA – Set in the Underworld and featuring Cruella and an all-new ONCE character portrayed by a special, surprise actor (James Marsters). Cruella has been left behind in the Underworld at the end of the season, and we didn’t exactly learn her fate… until now.

Ok, this honestly sounds amazing! I can’t wait to see this!

    Press Release for the DVD/Blu-Ray:

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has unveiled details on ‘Once Upon A Time: The Complete Fifth Season,’ available to own on Blu-ray and DVD on August 16, 2016 and now available for pre-order.

When the Savior becomes the ‘Dark Swan,’ the lines between good and evil blur as Emma begins to relish the intoxicating taste of absolute power. Terrified she’ll succumb, Emma and Hook visit Camelot to find the one person who may be able to aid them: Merlin. Unfortunately, King Arthur proves treacherous, and when he joins forces with a vengeful Zelena, Emma and Hook’s hopes are shattered. Now Emma and her entire Storybrooke family must embark on a chilling descent to the Underworld of Hades, where they’ll try and rescue Hook from eternal damnation…with ‘help’ from Rumplestiltskin. But will any of them survive the journey?

Treat yourself to all 23 riveting episodes of Season 5. Plus, indulge your senses with never-before-seen bonus features as you share the romance, relive the magic and unlock the secrets of Once Upon a Time.

MERIDA IN STORYBROOKE – In Pixar’s Brave, Merida proves her strength and independence to the world and she makes no exceptions when she comes to life in “Once Upon A Time.” We’ll explore Merida’s journey further by going behind the scenes and meeting Amy Manson, the Scottish actress who perfectly personifies an independent spirit. Amy will take us through her process for stepping into the role and share with us the similarities between her character and herself as a young girl growing up in Scotland. We will explore the explosive mash?up of Merida, Mulan and Ruby and find out why they are perfectly suited to helping each other through some tough times. Learn why Merida is the perfect feisty fit for the Fairy Tale world as well as why they chose to match her with these particularly strong women.

    1) I basically cried when I read his tweet that they’re recording it

    2) the second it lands in Columbus I’m going. No ifs ands or buts.

And I still haven’t seen it, even though NYC is a 90 minute train ride for me! I’ve been trying the digital lottery recently, since I would find out if I won or not with enough time to get down there. It would be a miracle if I win before Lin leaves the show next month.

1)So far @USATODAY is the only one not burying the lede:
We're filming the original cast before I go.
    WE GOT YOU. https://t.co/O7Vo9LhF7O

    — Lin-Manuel Miranda (@Lin_Manuel) June 16, 2016

    2) What are we doing with that footage?
    No idea.
Throwing it in a vault at Gringotts for a bit probly. But we're getting it.

    — Lin-Manuel Miranda (@Lin_Manuel) June 16, 2016

So a full video of the show with the original cast is being made before Lin and other cast members leave the show. Yay! However, I wouldn’t expect it to be released until AFTER Hamilton’s Broadway run is over. Most Broadway shows don’t get video versions released for the general public during their original runs, because they want people to actually come see them in person. Which is a shame, because of how ridiculously hard it is to currently get Hamilton tickets. Though, a national tour is happening, so that will at least give more people the opportunity to see it.
