ModeratorThe more I think about it, the more I think Neal could be in 522. “Only You” is a song that Neal first played for Emma, and taught Henry about the song. Henry of course used the song on Violet, and we already know this is a heavy Henry/Violet episode. Then this episode takes place in NYC, and I recall they filmed on the same street where Neal’s apartment is located. Not to mention, Rumple is in NYC in the episode, too. So I think we could either get a flashback of the time Neal talked to Henry about “Only You”, or Neal could appear to Henry in a dream sequence just like he did with Emma. If it’s the latter, it would finally give Neal and Henry the opportunity to say goodbye. This also wouldn’t be the first time that MRJ filmed for OUAT under secrecy, and I’m sure he would have taken greater measures to keep it that way this time around. His cover was blown last time due to Mark Isham’s leak, Sean Maguire posting pictures with him on Instagram, and 512 screeners going out to the press.

ModeratorCreators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz previously teased to E! News that the season five finale will “see the arrival of someone new and the return of someone old as our heroes’ faith in each other and in magic itself is put to the ultimate test.” Who’s the familiar face returning? Morrison’s not telling, but she does admit it’s someone we’d never have expected.
“Honestly, I didn’t see any of it coming in the script, not that I ever do. They’re so good at having so many creative surprises,” she teased. “I definitely was surprised by it, but I was also excited about it because I feel like it’s characters that are definitely going to bring a lot to the show, but are [also] characters that are very unexpected.”
Might simply be Merida, or it’ll really be another bombshell like Neal in 512.

ModeratorYay Hades ripped up the contract for Zelena! I wonder though if Pan is going to try and pull a fast one. Rumple will be ready to give Zelena back and Pan will say “Not so fast”.
Yeah, Rumple at least almost always lives up to his end of the bargain. Pan, though, would be the one to try to pull a fast one. I think Pan plans to use Zelena, because she’s a living soul that he could trade places with. He would try to justify it by saying that he’d be doing Rumple a favor, because Zelena both killed Neal and convinced Belle to use the sleeping curse.

ModeratorAs we enter the last week of April, there has been a small update: there are now 21 fatalities on the list.
May Sweeps technically begin today April 28 and go to the end of May. TVLine will update their lists as things happen.
I expect we could get our first entries in the scorecard for this Sunday’s episode.

ModeratorMaybe Henry is listening to a lot of Avenue Q and is taking Violet to see it on Broadway! (was it still playing in 2014-2015)
It closed in 2009, but it moved to Off-Broadway, where it still performs to this day. But yeah, it is still in NYC.

ModeratorThis interview quote from a while back seems to point to Mount Olympus being the entire Better Place realm, while the Worse Place is the other:
KITSIS | The Underworld is kind of a weigh station between two other worlds. Hades has a brother that’s up in Mount Olympus, and then there’s a place “downstairs” that’s even worse. This is kind of a domain where you’re there because you haven’t found closure yet.

Now I’m not quite sure that the River of Lost Souls and the Worse Place are the same thing, even though Auntie Em’s tombstone cracked. The tombstone could have cracked simply because she did technically receive a worse fate. There also could have been some miscommunication between the writers for 518 and the writers for 514 (when Cruella talked about the tombstones).

ModeratorHere’s something that I just realized. Have we ever seen anybody complete their unfinished business and get sent to the worse place? I think the way we’ve been looking at this is Heaven/Hell, but that may not be quite what the show is implying. So far all of the people who have been sent to the worse place or River of Lost Souls were sent there by force, and without fulfilling what their unfinished business was. I guess completing one’s unfinished business is essentially a second chance of sorts, and getting to go to the better place is your reward. Here’s something that Jane Espenson tweeted a while back, regarding this:
@Chipped_Mug7 Not everything you've ever done wrong is included in the Underworld's "unfinished biz" file.

Going by what she said, not all sins are taken into account, when it comes to one’s unfinished business.
