Rumple and the audience are assuming that he’ll lose all of his powers with True Love’s Kiss, but what if that isn’t necessarily the case? Another possibility is that instead of destroying the darkness and his powers, it converts the darkness into light. After all, we know that the Dark One’s power is sourced from the Holy Grail just like Merlin’s. It was not darkness originally, but became darkness once Nimue crushed Vortigan’s heart and tainted her magic. So maybe Rumple would become the Light One, as shown in Season 4’s finale, and this could even “cleave” him from the dagger. The Dark One willingly ready to lose his powers to save their loved one could be the ultimate test of selflessness.

Drop of .1 but I think we’ve found our floor.
Apparently half hour ratings were 1.2/1.1 like last Sunday’s initial ratings, so we could see it adjust to another 1.2 tomorrow.
Honestly, this is the episode I’ve been looking forward to the most ever since we first heard about it. Seeing Regina and Zelena’s childhoods, getting the fateful reunion between Cora and Zelena, seeing David and James duke it out, and Pan is returning. With the sibling rivalry between both Regina/Zelena and David/James being featured, I’m somewhat surprised that this episode isn’t called “Siblings” instead.
My theory is that Zelena stole the slippers from Dorothy, and that’s how she escaped from Oz. Snow and Ruby will end up using the slippers to return to Storybrooke themselves. Or Snow will drop Ruby off back in Oz, and then go back to Storybrooke on her own. Either way, I think we know how Snow leaves the Underworld now.

IMDB is now crediting Marshall Virtue as “hyde stunt double” for the finale. Marshall Virtue happens to look quite similar to Sam Witwer, who’s “Jacob” character is rumored to be Hyde. Suffice to say, the Jekyll and Hyde rumors are growing stronger.

“Some time ago” works well enough for me, as it simply means that the event happened in the past tense. I’ll take it over “many years ago”, which was flat out wrong.

So it sounds like it was somebody in the ABC press department that made this mistake. The good thing is that it looks like this error won’t be on the aired version.
