ModeratorThe stranger one is why “they can’t know we’re here”. That is an extremely odd thing to say, and there better be a reason for it.
Yeah I actually think that’s the stranger one. I mean, you have a seemingly unbreakable curse that will result in (possibly) Henry’s death if broken, of course you’re gonna call for backup in the form of his other mother/savior/person who usually handles this situation.
It goes back to something we said a lot over the summer; Emma Swan is always going to be the elephant in the room this season because, unless they had decided to kill her back in 702, we’re always gonna be wondering why Emma can’t just show up and help break the curse. And HH is unique in that Victoria wants people to leave so there is restriction in crossing boarders like there was in SB, season 1.
So when Regina drops super cryptic lines like that, the writers better be prepared to explain it somehow.
It’s not just Emma. Snow and Charming also would have willingly helped them, but they have to write around the fact that Ginny and Josh are no longer on the show, just like JMo.

ModeratorBased solely on the name and the timing, I’m guessing that Nick is Santa Claus. (Or at least that he’s the Santa of EF2. EF1’s Santa, of course, is Kristoff.)
Nick is Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk and/or Jack the Giant Killer. He and Henry talk about giants, and Mark Isham even recycled Jack’s theme from “Tiny” during the same scene.

ModeratorI don’t think hes “that” jack. I think hes just some guy named Jack. He probably has a backstory (what teenager is running around on their own, since he met henry when he first arrived in the EF 2.0 and he was just a teen/18 year old) but I don’t think hes from the beanstalk.
He and Henry mentioned giants, so seems pretty clear he is either Jack and the Beanstalk’s Jack, Jack the Giant Killer’s Jack or both.

ModeratorThey aren’t going to cancel mid season, especially since no one likes any of the new ABC shows. Ten days in the Valley is already cancelled. Kevin Probably Saves the World is most likely cancelled. Inhumans is probably cancelled. Scandal is ending after this season. I think they are really hoping that American Idol will do a lot for them, which i think is odd, but who knows.
They will air out the rest of the full Season order as planned, and a cancellation or renewal likely won’t be revealed until May like almost every Season. Unless they decide to formally announce that the series is ending during ABC’s Winter Press Tour date in January.

ModeratorUnless Nick is going to be playing a larger non romantic role later, I think his character is basically unnecessary. The silly love triangle in s1 was silly enough because we all knew they were cursed and that Snowing were true love and Kathryn/David were not really married. It’s the same situation here: HenElla are clearly TL and married and going to be together. The love triangle aspect is redundant and, frankly, this show does NOT do love triangles well. Ever.
In a way it’s actually a love square, if you count Drizella/Ivy trying to get with Henry.

ModeratorI think what they are trying to say is that WishRealm Regina gave WishRealm Hook a map that took him to EF 2.0, where Drizella/Tremaine/ect live.
Didn’t WishRegina even say the tower was in another realm?

ModeratorRatings are in. We got a 0.5 and 2.566 million viewers in the 1st hour, but dropped to a 0.4 and 2.010 million viewers in the 2nd hour. I’m hearing a likely reason why OUAT typically sees big half hour drops is because it’s inflated from the local lead-in. Here are the unroundeds:
Once Upon a Time ……………. 0.510 … (0.563 … 0.456)
Once Upon a Time ……………. 0.428 … (0.426 … 0.431)So the average of the 2 hours combined is 0.469. If the final ratings for both episodes are the 2 hour average, then theoretically both should get a 0.5 in the finals.

ModeratorBased on the spoilers we already know it’s probably Zelena. We know she’s showing up soon, and is cursed. Her being in San Francisco at the moment would explain why we haven’t seen her around Hyperion Heights yet.

ModeratorAnyone wanna guess the ratings for the two hour episodes 707 and 708?
I think we’ll maintain the .5 for 707 but drop to .4 for 708
Agreed, at least for the fast ratings. However, normally when there is a 2 hour episode, the final ratings given are the average of both parts combined. So in the end 707/708 should both receive either a 0.5 or a 0.4 in the finals.
