Hey #Oncers… If I were to hypothetically take a trip to Storybrooke, what color dress should I wear? Hypothetically, of course… ✨👗👑🙆🏼✨

Round two of shopping for the OUAT 100th party. Thankfully, no one cares what a writer is wearing!

    — Brigitte Hales (@InkTankGirl) February 15, 2016

Sartorial victory! Even got some ridiculous heels that will hurt my feet all night. Yay!

    — Brigitte Hales (@InkTankGirl) February 15, 2016

@InkTankGirl You know about the heels thing, right? No high heels at the party — ask @AndrewChambliss about it.

    — Jane Espenson (@JaneEspenson) February 15, 2016

    @JaneEspenson @InkTankGirl @AndrewChambliss I'm confused. Why no heels?

    — Adam Horowitz (@AdamHorowitzLA) February 15, 2016

@AdamHorowitzLA @JaneEspenson @InkTankGirl @AndrewChambliss Gaps in some of the floorboards, apparently.

    — Peter Avellino (@PeterAPeel) February 15, 2016

@PeterAPeel @JaneEspenson @InkTankGirl @AndrewChambliss really? So I should tell my wife no heels?

    — Adam Horowitz (@AdamHorowitzLA) February 15, 2016

@AdamHorowitzLA @JaneEspenson @InkTankGirl @AndrewChambliss Specifically, it said "Stiletto heels are not recommended."

    — Peter Avellino (@PeterAPeel) February 15, 2016

@InkTankGirl @PeterAPeel @AdamHorowitzLA @AndrewChambliss You can leave one stuck in the floor and exit Cinderella-style!

    — Jane Espenson (@JaneEspenson) February 15, 2016

@Regal_Bekki I bet most of the people don't notice the warning and we'll all be plunging down through the floor.

    — Jane Espenson (@JaneEspenson) February 15, 2016

@PeterAPeel @AdamHorowitzLA @JaneEspenson @AndrewChambliss Bummer! My shoes are so cute!!

    — Brigitte Hales (@InkTankGirl) February 15, 2016

These are the shoes my 6-year-old wants me to wear. Not really the look I was going for. pic.twitter.com/sTMvXHMge0

    — Brigitte Hales (@InkTankGirl) February 15, 2016

So heels are discouraged at this party due to loose floorboards apparently, and Jane will be in attendance, too. Odd conversation, but felt I should include it here anyway. lol!

Yes, Adam speaks on some codes of production made by ABC, but the network and adam know that episode 100 was in reality 511 and not 512 and just bc they say it doesnt make it true, when there are proof of the opposite and this is not even made by me, is actually by them, they have a bluray made by them that says S4 had 23 episodes and not 21 episodes and a speacial episode of 2 hours and outside US, s4 had 23 episodes, so while may be epi 100 in US( bc of codes) is not epi 100 outside Us.

But moving on bc this is not really the subject of this thread i believe, is about promotion, which i said will probably be the red carpet thing, the kick off for the promotion of 5B arc.

I think you’re mistaking what I was saying. ABC themselves referred to 512 as “the 100th episode” in their own press release. The header even takes it further by saying “Special 100th episode.” So it is not just Adam and Eddy referring to it as such, but now ABC too.

    MIDSEASON PREMIERE

AFTER HOOK SACRIFICES HIMSELF TO SAVE STORYBROOKE, THE HEROES FOLLOW HIM TO THE UNDERWORLD WHERE THEY ENCOUNTER FACES FROM THEIR PAST, ON ABC’S SPECIAL 100th EPISODE OF “ONCE UPON A TIME”

Greg Germann Guest Stars as Hades, Barbara Hershey as Cora, Robbie Kay as Peter Pan, Tony Perez as Valet and Giancarlo Esposito as Sidney Glass/Magic Mirror

“Souls of the Departed” — Emma, Regina, Mary Margaret, David, Robin, Henry and Gold arrive in the Underworld, on a mission to rescue Hook, only to discover that their search will be more difficult than they had anticipated. The inhabitants of the Underworld—all souls with unfinished business and many with quite personal vendettas—hound our heroes at every turn. Meanwhile, in an Enchanted Forest flashback, a familiar face from the Evil Queen’s past returns to present Regina with the perfect birthday gift, on the 100th episode of “Once Upon a Time,” SUNDAY, MARCH 6 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST) on the ABC Television Network.

That is the thing, is episode 100 for who? Only for Adam, but even he knows the truth and please dont come and talk about episode codes that abc may have or not, Blu ray and DVD made by ABC clearly states S4 had 23 episodes, outside US, most of the channels that air OUAT, say S4 had 23 episodes and aired 23 episodes during 23 weeks, that means that for all intends episode 100 was 511 and ABC knows that, reason why they also dont want to cause many buzz with being 100, but i also doesnt understand why they so bad want to pass episode 512 as the 100th episode, why would be a problem if was stated that was 511, also they will have the party now when they are filming 520, when most of shows when reach 100 episodes, do parties when they are filming the episode not like 2 weeks before the episode is airing, so this is the most buzz in promotion they will have and i think ABC knows that these guest stars are not enough to cause buzz and bring viewers, now if this was the arc of Frozen ,that would have some major promos by now, bc they know those would call viewers.

Actually, ABC’s press release for 512 mentions it being “the 100th episode of Once Upon a Time.”

Some food for thought. Me and RG noticed that ABC hasn’t been doing much on-air promotion for OUAT recently, even though the show returns just 3 weeks from now. We literally only saw the same 15 second promo from this past Monday air just once the entire night. And yet, they’ve played the promos for Quantico and The Family plenty of times. To add insult to injury, Quantico’s promo is a full 30 seconds, unlike the one they’ve been airing for OUAT recently. We’ll be keeping our eyes out for how ABC continues to treat OUAT’s on air promotion as we get closer to the premiere. Maybe we’re over thinking it, but found this lack of promotion oddly strange nonetheless.

Something that really didn’t work was the original relationship between Henry and Regina. Even though I understand what they were trying to do what with her being the villain and all, it sent out an anti-adoption message, which was an issue many people had with OUAT in the beginning. Like I said, I know what they were trying to do, but I just wish they did it in a more careful manner…Henry constantly bashing and telling the woman who did her best in raising, loving, and caring for him his whole life that he found his “real mother” was a problem which I’m glad Lana Parrilla stood up and called the producers out on, and had them fix. I am forever happy that she stood up for Regina and Henry’s relationship and had it mended, because just because Emma stuck around and got to know Henry for a few months did not all of a sudden make her the perfect “real mother.” That is the one thing I certainly do not miss from Season 1!

That’s a good point. I certainly remember Adam’s Twitter feed dealing with claims that the show was anti-adoption, and him feeling the need to claim otherwise. I also recall Lana saying that she had to push for some of Regina’s storyline, regarding her relationship with Henry. But yeah, even back in Season 1, some morality concerns were brought up. Another thing the show got flack for back then was how Regina technically raped Graham, since she was controlling his heart and they clearly had sex several times.

He was such a great guest star–one thing I really loved about S1. They knew how to utilize the guest stars really well. They felt natural because so much of S1 was learning about the town. Jefferson, Granny, Ruby, Ashley, even one offs like Nova.

That raises a good point about Season 1. They knew how to balance the guest stars, while maintaining the main focus on the central characters. I didn’t feel like we got too little of the guest stars either. There was just enough to make it satisfying. One problem with the other Seasons is that the guest stars sometimes dominate the storylines (*coughFrozencough*), while taking character development away from the regulars. The other problem is that the guest stars themselves are sometimes underdeveloped. Either way, some characters lose out.

Yeah, it’s one of those things that I tend to believe A and E had some loose plan with but ultimately had to let it go when Sebby went to Hollywood’s door and it became next to impossible to really get him for more than one or two episodes. Exploring August and Jefferson’s connection is up there too.

Remember when many of us thought that Jefferson fell into the hat, after he got kicked out the window? That was what the editing of the scene implied, as there was a whoosh sound effect. However, when asked about it on the official podcast, Adam and Eddy clarified that he didn’t. He simply fell, quickly ran away, and took care of his injuries. It does make me wonder if they really did mean for him to go through the hat, and they had to change their plans. By the way, that was actually one of my own questions that got asked for the official podcast, and the first time I recall Adam and Eddy responding to me, though indirectly. On a side note, I really miss the official podcast. It was a chance to get into Adam and Eddy’s mindset for every episode, and get some interesting tidbits. I recall the reason it discontinued was because Estelle, the person who hosted and edited the podcast, left ABC in between Seasons 2 and 3. A shame that ABC didn’t feel the need to continue the podcast with somebody else.
