ONCE - Once Upon a Time podcast
Reviews, theories, and talk about ABC's Once Upon a Time TV show
A lot of people are speculating that they’re not actually in the real Storybrooke, but in a warped hellish version of Storybrooke in the Underworld. That would explain all the destruction and some of the shops being different.
Apparently this person overheard dialogue on set:
No Cruella on set right now but I swear I saw a black and white head of hair getting out of transpo on my way home at 4:30. #OUAT

Aaaaand there’s the first supposed Cruella sighting
Victoria Smurfit did retweet TVGuide’s tweet about the 100th episode, so that could be another hint that she’s back:
.@OnceABC is planning a villainous 100th episode! See who we’ll meet (and who'll return): https://t.co/VQHn7ScGhV pic.twitter.com/014uvTjE8Z

Did I just see Cruella getting out of a transport van as I drove by circus? #OUAT #yvrshoots

But Emma is the Dark One. Just like Rumple or else the many times you’ve tried to stab him through the chest would have worked, Hook. Regina has the dagger in a tree stump (or something); Emma, the Dark One, is safe.
Hook might be referring to how its possible for a Dark One’s host to die after years of using dark magic, and the Darkness could then use their body as a meat suit. That was what almost happened to Rumple, before he had his darkness sucked out of him with the hat.
