ModeratorI agree. However, timeline wise, Ursula was still a goddess in Ariel which takes place either before or after Snow Falls and we know Hook was in the EF at that time. It’s possible this Ursula could’ve been named after that Ursula however with Poseidon as Ursula’s father, that would suggest that Ursula really was a goddess. So brought down to normal by Hook is the most likely, but timeline wise it doesn’t make sense.
The only time we saw the real Ursula in the episode was when she had possessed a statue of herself. Since Ursula is still a witch, that’s something she could possibly still do, whether she’s a goddess or not.

ModeratorTake it back
Dont give them ideas.
If this comes to pass, I know where to find you
You still blame me for the Marian=Zelena thing actually happening, don’t you? =p

ModeratorOh it’s totally annoying. But the writing has been on the wall for awhile now that they were going to just make this a TV version of the Mal movie. The costume change honestly should have set off a lot of bells for people
I feel it’s less about making her look like Angelina Jolie, and more about making her look like the animated Maleficent. Granted that’s where the Angelina Jolie design for Maleficent was based off of in the first place. Ironically, the one Queen of Darkness who doesn’t look a thing like their Disney counterpart is Ursula. I guess this is because they wanted the faux Regina-Ursula as their adaptation of the Disney Ursula, while the real Ursula is their own twist?

ModeratorI read a theory elsewhere that I felt I should share here. There’s a theory that Rumple might be pretending to be Hook in this episode in an attempt to get the dagger back from Belle. I know many of you would hate that development, because once again Rumple would be duping Belle, but I totally could see this happening.

ModeratorIt should be noted that Once had the highest demo number last night. CBS had the highest number of total viewers for the whole night, but that’s because CBS always attracts a large number of adults older than the targeted 18-49 demo. But it is of course that 18-49 demo number that is the most valuable to advertisers buying airtime. There’s also normally a decline for everything as a result of Daylight Savings, and I think we’re starting to see that now.
We’ll definitely see more of a drop as the Season continues, but I have my doubts we’ll decline past our current series low, which is at a 1.7. Especially when we could slightly go back up for big episodes: 416 is a possible big episode, as it’s the middle of the arc and it’s right before the show takes off a week for Easter, and of course the Season finale always gets a boost. For perspective, here’s how the Zelena arc fared last year:
312 – 2.4
313 – 2.4
314 – 2.1
315 – 2.1
316 – 2.4
317 – 2.0
318 – 1.7 (Obvious this was as a result of it airing on Easter Sunday)
319 – 2.2
320 – 2.1
322/322 – 2.3My predictions for the rest of 4B
414 – 2.0
415 – 2.0 or 1.9
416 – (As I said, could be a big episode due to being the middle of the arc and right before a 1 week break) 2.2 or 2.1
417 – (Returning episodes following a break tend to go back up or match the last episode) 2.1
418 – 2.0
419 – 1.9
420 – 1.8
421-422 (Predicting another 2 hour finale, based on scheduling) – 2.2 or 2.1MatthewPaul
ModeratorAs far as my opinion on the topic at hand, I genuinely think Rumple isn’t planning on dying at the moment. I get the impression that he’s still self serving and wants to have his happy ending in the living sense. Of course Rumple could still sacrifice himself by the end of the Season, but I just don’t feel like that’s his current plan.

ModeratorThe problem is that with Mal, she was intentionally preserved by the curse, and she was magical–her dust is like the dust of the urn or the bit of magic that Hook and Elsa brought to Rumple. Baelfire was not magical, so…it may be far more complicated to bring him back (magical rules–can’t bring back the dead, can’t change the past, can’t make someone truly love you–though of course between Once and Wonderland we’ve seen all but the last violated multiple times).
The fact that Baelfire wasn’t magical shouldn’t matter. David technically died when his heart was crushed and sacrificed to recast the dark curse. He was dead for several minutes before Regina split Snow’s heart in half and put it back in his body. And honestly? The whole “magically preserved dust” idea is just a stupid, arbitrary, magical handwavy “rule” which could be easily circumvented. And as you say, Wonderland proved that magical laws are more like guidelines than insurmountable barriers.
Andrew Chambliss, one of the writers of the episode, said this in response to how Maleficent was able to come back:
@Love4LeaM @KalindaVazquez Maleficent wasn't dead. Regina had placed a spell on her that kept her alive no matter what happened to her body
— Andrew Chambliss (@AndrewChambliss) March 9, 2015
Maleficent was preserved by Regina’s magic, no matter what happened to her. If Baelfire could come back the same way, Rumple would have already brought him back.

ModeratorWell, this show does have this thing called flashbacks. They do use them with quite often.
Yeah, they might flashback to them growing a relationship during the 6 week timeskip. Maybe not. Still don’t think this is being setup as a long term and serious thing. I think this is just to add even more angst for Rumple and Belle, hence why we saw the reveal via his point of view.

ModeratorHonestly, the way this is being presented, this feels more like a diversion, and won’t be endgame. Especially the way they introduced this pairing without seeing how they got together in the first place.
