I have no doubt that Agnes got the role because she is talented. I also have no doubt that she will do a good job with the role she has been given. I bear her no ill will. But it doesn’t change the fact that ONCE’s already *super* problematic treatment of POC in their TV show (all white cast, POC who either die instantly, die before episode end, or turn out to be evil or filler) just got a lot more problematic.

The casual audience will not care. But, as someone who is not, I care.

Doesn’t help when, let’s face it, a lot of people still consider some Latinos to be white depending on their appearance. Especially looking at someone like Lana or Nicole. To make matters more complicated, Latino is more of a generalization of a mix of different ethnicities that originate from Latin America. Therefore, each person of Latino descent varies, because it’s really just lumping a bunch of different cultures into one convenient category. This article explains it better than I can. I’m not saying I personally agree with all of this, but I had to throw this out there.

In all honesty, I think they cast Agnes (if she is Lily) not for her race, but because she does look like Lana when she has dark hair, whether she’s of Latino heritage or not. That is if the fan speculation that she was intentionally cast to look like a young Regina to parallel her in episode 405 is at all 100% accurate. That picture posted in the thread earlier isn’t a good representation of how she could look on the show itself. These are taken from Agnes’ own Instagram.

Speaking of Nicole, she tweeted about the episode title. I guess she’ll be returning to film a flashback?

Even before Adam and Eddy said we’d definitely see Lily again, I was one of the ones who suspected she would later become more important. Why spend an entire flashback on her friendship with Emma? Yes, I get it was to further show why Emma has trust issues, but I always thought there was more to Lily than just that. Not to mention, Emma’s vital encounters in the real world so far haven’t been with ordinary people. Neal turned out to be Baelfire, Ingrid turned out to be the Snow Queen, Walsh turned out to be a flying monkey, and a certain 11 year old boy appearing at the doorstep of her apartment turned out to be her son.

Guys honestly…I think we need to be prepared for a retcon—I think the writers are banking on the majority of their audience not questioning this like we are. They are hoping the audience won’t remember Belle not questioning who RH was or that Marian recognzied both me as RH right away

Which is contradictory in itself because they want to explain why Tom Ellis Robin Hood became Sean Maguire Robin Hood, which seems like something they’re only addressing because of people who actually remember Tom Ellis Robin Hood. Wouldn’t casual viewers not give that a second thought? So if they are banking on the audience not remembering past details, why try to explain a past detail in the first place?

How does that solve the Belle problem? And the Marian problem? wouldn’t she know the difference between both men?

    Simple: 1) Magic. 2) Plot.

If the spell was to take Robin Hood’s identity, I would imagine the spell would be-witch everyone Robin Hood has ever met to still think they are the same person. Otherwise, the Merry Men would have recognized Robin was replaced, too.

This then. Hmmmm….. Ya know, now I am a bit afraid… Robin did say he had a Dark past…. what if this is what he is talking about? He stole someones identity…with magic… or something. For that matter, if they are different men, where is Tom Ellis RH?

Shared this in the chatroom, but I’ll post it here too. A really crack theory I came up with for fun in response to this theory is that it was Prince John who stole Robin Hood’s identity. That’s why Sean Maguire’s Robin Hood has a lion tattoo, as Prince John was a lion in the Disney movie. Plus, if this theory were accurate, he’d be “lying” about his identity.

Do u guys think it has anything to do with the Soul Mate fairy dust thing. Like what if they are trying to say that the man that is Regina’s real love is the Tom Ellis RH, not this RH.

Hmmm,,, @WickedRegal… what if you theory is coming true and Zelena really is alive in the past screwing around with the timeline? Would explain why she is frolicking with Marian.

Wouldn’t it be the opposite, because Tink specifically said it was “the man with the lion tattoo”, which applies to Sean’s Robin Hood not Tom’s? They specifically said Tom’s Robin Hood doesn’t have the tattoo.

But…Belle recognized New! Robin easily enough. So…what?

That’s a good point. I’m surprised they decided that they have to come up with an in-show reason for Robin Hood’s change in appearance. I thought they would have just left it as “he was re-cast, nothing more.”

Anyway, Adam’s reluctance to answer much about Lily honestly makes me suspect that’s who Agnes Bruckner is playing even more.

Day 15 – Favorite Crack Ship

Honestly drawing a blank. Off the top of my head, I guess Pan and Felix. Not in the too serious way.

Day 16 – Least Favorite Crack Ship

Swan Queen. I get that there’s the appeal that Emma and Regina are both Henry’s mothers. However, Regina is the reason for ruining Emma’s life. Not to mention she is her step-grandmother, which can make it seem incestuous.
