ModeratorThis may or may not be ONCE–but if it is, I think we all know who it would be. Regina and Robin have very recently had sex in the crypt. And when a show like ONCE doesn’t dance around sex like that…it might mean some baby news.
Still going with my theory that their baby somehow ends up being Lilly.

ModeratorMy guess is they hinted at the answer right in this interview. Her ashes. We saw earlier in the Season how Rumple used the ashes from the urn, and about how magical ashes still retain magic. So I think Maleficent’s ashes will play a role in her resurrection.

ModeratorHave these writers wrote any other episodes? (sorry, I’m not good at keeping track of the writers)
David H. Goodman’s been a writer on the show since Season 1. Too many episodes to list. Jerome Schwartz is a writer from Wonderland that joined the Season 4 writing staff. So far on Once he’s co-written “Rocky Road” and “Smash the Mirror”.

ModeratorI’m fine with the way Cruella looks. I really don’t have a problem with her resembling the Disney live-action version of her. However, I think I would have a problem with Cruella being a shape-shifting dalmatian sorceress. There’s “taking liberties” and then there’s what I would call an overly active imagination. I suppose Cruella could be like Ruby, who is actually a werewolf, but that just seems like a bridge too far as far as I’m concerned.
Here’s the problem I’m seeing. When the show has taken too many liberties for their liking (examples being Hook, Peter Pan, and Rapunzel), people complain. When the show sticks too close to the Disney version for their liking (the Frozen cast, and now Maleficent), people will complain too. Are we asking for more of a happy medium between the two concepts? Clearly we’re not all going to agree on which direction the show should take.

ModeratorAnd that’s the problem fro me. This is not supposed to be Disney Live Action TV. It’s OUAT. It was sold as your favorite stories come to life–not your favorite Disney movies, which is why we had an array of characters in season one, even those not popularized by the Great Mouse. This isn’t creative or new and fresh. It’s just a Disney carbon copy plopped down, complete with all the trappings. Shouldn’t have to be instantly recognizable. She should be THEIR Mal, not the one I could watch on my Disney DVD
And yet they’ve been using the distinct Disney names and even some of their character traits since day 1. When you use those names, people expect enough of the Disney traits to be retained.
