ModeratorI’d also be interested in seeing some of the WL writers join Once’s writing staff. The ones who wrote Heart of the Matter, in particular.

ModeratorPretty much what RG said. Save Henry wasn’t an outright bad episode. It just felt a bit lackluster compared to the rest of Thomsen’s episodes.

ModeratorYeah, I get that CWL, and even I have to question if there are more complicated reasons that everybody’s just keeping silent on for professional reasons.

ModeratorThing is I trust Matt, as he does have a very good relationship with A&E, and I’m confident that he knows what he’s talking about. With that relationship in mind, chances are he really did know the death was Neal back then. He wrote the dang article. So sorry, but I’ll continue to be convinced that the death is permanent. Why kill him off for yet another fake out with MRJ screwed over from screentime til the finale? That’s the main thing that doesn’t add up to his death being temporary for me. If they intended to keep MRJ for good than I feel there would have been a lot more development for Neal this Season than what we got. The episode just screams them rushing to get rid of him ASAP. I’ll admit if there’s the very slim chance that I’m wrong, but guess everything will be clear come the end of the Season.

ModeratorMany of us who are now disillusioned with the show feel that way because we feel that A&E have lied to us about the basic moral and message that drives their show. If we feel like they’ve already lied to us, why would we accept what they say in interviews as being gospel, as opposed to them playing with words and being trolls, (we’ve all called them trolls before for their interviews, in a more lighthearted way, only thing that’s changed is now we say it with a negative connotation). I trust Matt Mitovitch to honestly relay any information he’s given.
I do not trust the people who gave him said information.
Simple as that. It’s another thing for them to tell Mitovitch that Michael is leaving the show and that the death sticks, -though. If they were going to reverse the death then they would have been more ambiguous, like when Rumple “died.” The interview also gives off the impression that Matt was told back in January that the permanent death was Neal. There’s a difference between being ambiguous and lying. –

ModeratorSlight update, and I should have posted this days ago, but I tweeted Matt to double check that Neal was the perma-death teased about in January. His tweet is pretty clear on the matter:
@ItachiIshtar Once and for all, that was THE death.

Also, Matt made a post in the comments for TVLine’s recap of 315:
This is The Death. Sorry.
Comment by Matt Webb Mitovich – March 30, 2014 07:30 PM PDTSeems pretty clear that the death will not be reversed.

ModeratorDo you think there is a possibility that this Fairytale convention will come to Canada or US next year? I would definitely go if it was a bit closer to me, lol.
What are the conventions out there that OUAT participates in? Which are the best ones? I would really like to go to one, but need to know which one is the best since I will likely only be going for Once.
Thank you!

Not exactly, but Lana Parrilla, Rebecca Mader, Sean Maguire, and Lee Arenberg are all attending Spooky Empire in Orlando, Florida this May: http://www.spookyempire.com/

ModeratorYou don’t die for good from a sleeping curse, though. Henry flat lining was the sleeping curse taking full effect. That’s how I took it at least. So yes he was in a state of death, but he was essentially in limbo
You don’t die in FTL. We were in a land still without magic.
Either way, let’s just say this is yet another case where the writing wasn’t clear enough.
