Going to be honestly blunt here. I am leaning towards the death being sooner, not later. If the death wasn’t planned till the Season finale, then why would Rose have read a script knowing who it is? As of late she has only filmed for 316, which happens to be the speculated episode for the death. Somebody also mentioned that one reason it would make sense for it to be earlier was so the actor would be able to go out and film for pilot season. While Ruby wasn’t killed off, Meghan did however went and filmed for the Intelligence pilot before Season 2 of Once finished filming, and that was also around the time that she just disappeared for the remainder of the Season. To make things more complicated, actors can always return to set to film pickup shots for previously filmed episodes, record ADR, or even film a flashback since they would still be contracted as a regular for the Season. Hypothetically if it is Neal that’s toast as early as 316, MRJ could have been on set last week for any of those reasons rather than necessarily filming present day scenes. It is a good way to throw people off, because of course some of us view his citing as “He can’t die in this episode, because we know he filmed for 319”, when we honestly don’t even know what his purpose was last week.

I think we also have to ask why the death spoiler was given at precisely that point back in January? I still think it had to do with those PA’s tweets from BEFORE TVLine posted their article. If the PA was telling the truth, and she didn’t sound like she was randomly lying either, than that very well could have been what led to TVLine’s article. Maybe they did want to keep it a complete surprise, which honestly would have been the best move since then nobody would be even speculating about it based on who’s filming and who’s not, but the cat was out of the bag and they had no choice but to make an official statement. We know 316 will be a big episode, as it gives us a chunk of Zelena’s backstory and we know there’s a big showdown. It’s a mid-conflict in similar vein to “The Miller’s Daughter” episode from Season 2. Andrew Chambliss has also written for big episodes such as “Second Star to the Right”, and I’d argue he’s up there with Jane in terms of non Adam and Eddy writers.

You can argue what you think in terms of what makes sense for the story and character development all you want, but this is just my personal take based on what we’ve witnessed. It’s true we haven’t always gotten the full picture from spoilers, but honestly they’ve been careless plenty of times where we did get spoiled from on set witnesses. The curse breaking in Season 1, Emma and Snow returning from FTL in “Queen of Hearts”, August turning back into a kid, Greg and Tamara kidnapping Henry, and Rumple killing Pan as he reverts back into Malcolm (it spoiled both Pan’s death and his true identity all in one go). Who’s to say this death won’t be spoiled too thanks to people paying too close attention to what’s being filmed?

Anyway, point is this is all my interpretation and I’ll admit if I happen to be completely wrong. However, don’t say I didn’t warn you if things do go in the direction I implied. All I can suggest is that everyone should prepare for any outcome, no matter how hard it might be to grasp that we could be losing our personal favorite characters. We all have our own views for how we see the series continuing, and it is virtually impossible for all of those views to line up with what Adam and Eddy have in mind.

I actually find that I like that right now. I know so much about OUAT going into S3B but almost nothing about S1B for WL. And it’s a nice change of pace.

After being overloaded with those Once spoilers for this Spring, I have to agree. It’ll be nice watching Wonderland with very limited knowledge before hand.

I’m still going to watch it. You never know what the last episodes are going to give, well unless you indulge in countless spoilers, but still there are things to look forward to in the show. I do wish they aired this show during the hiatus, it would have been better for both shows.

Unlike the parent show, spoilers for Wonderland have been fairly light. Probably due to lack of interest from paparazzi, the press, ABC, and Adam & Eddy themselves. Not to mention that like 90% of Wonderland is filmed in studio.

I’ll be watching for sure, and it upsets me that we’re three days away from the show’s return and ABC hasn’t aired a single promo. I get that they consider it a failure, but do they want it to do even worse than it already did? I just hope they actually air all 5 remaining episodes without it getting interrupted due to ratings.

if you think season 2 had filler episodes, at least they were a good story on their own.
season 3 had many more “filler” episodes… episode 301,302, were filler, 304,305 were partly filler, 310 was one big huge filler….

301 – Introduces the cast to Neverland, kills of Greg and Tamara, reveals Peter Pan, shows us Neal’s fate in FTL, etc.
302 – This was a huge character developing episode for Emma and started out the “Charming is poisoned” storyline. I’d agree that the Snowing flashback was fillerish, though at least it started off what we know as the Take Back the Kingdom storyline and we got to see Regina’s reaction to Snow waking up.
304 – I’ll argue it was partially filler in the sense that Rumple and Neal just went in one big circle. However, it did establish Rumple discovering that Neal was still alive and brought some development in their relationship. The Pied Piper Pan flashback, though, felt fillerish in the sense that it was mainly there to tease us with Rumple and Pan’s relationship.
305 – People might have their reasons for personally disliking this episode, but I’ll argue it wasn’t filler in the slightest. We actually got Hook’s backstory for why he became a pirate, it was a significant character developing episode for Hook, it somewhat resolved the dreamshade storyline with Charming, and it was a huge episode for CaptainSwan (personal opinions on shipping aside).
310 – This was mainly the build up for the Mid-Season finale. The Snowing flashback, though, I would agree was pretty pointless and basically filler. This episode would have benefited better from being totally present day with more screentime for Ariel, Eric and the Darlings. The Ariel and Eric reunion in particular was very rushed.

I think in theory it works, and with the Olympics and award shows airing during January and February it was a necessity. Despite the long hiatus, the Season will still end around Mid May like it always has, so it’s not like the Season is ending any later. I really do hate that we have to wait so long in the middle of the Season, and I think it would’ve been better having Wonderland air during this timeframe as originally planned. Not every Oncer watches Wonderland, but it still would have been a fix for many of us during the brutal wait. I recently thought that another idea they could have done was bringing back the official podcast with Adam and Eddy recapping the first half of the Season on a weekly basis, while they give us new trivia and answer questions.

When they do the purple “green” screen, it’s often the Dark One’s castle. The last time we saw MRJ use it was for 301, when he met RH. So maybe this is the missing year, he goes to the DO castle, looking for something to get back to Earth?

It’s been done for scenes with Zelena, because of her green skin. I think it was done for 301 also because of Robin Hood’s green cloak. Given Neal’s coat, though, I think this could be somewhere in A Land Without Magic.
