ModeratorIs it just me or I´m really getting a Freddy Krueger vibe from the secon pic in the OP? I really wanted Cruella to show up, but now that I have seen Mader as the WWW I´m actually pretty excited.
I have a crack theory that they might be mashing up the Wicked Witch and Cruella as one character. I mean we had Pan as the Pied Piper, Rumple as the Beast, and Lana as Ursula (sorta), so who knows: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/topic/312-promo/page/5/#post-231113

Anyone else notice the animal skin rug on the Witch’s floor? I have a new crack theory that they are doing a mashup of both the Wicked Witch of the West and Cruella DeVille. Aside from that screenshot, here are a few reasons why this could be the case:
1) Both the Wicked Witch and Cruella threatened a dog. To quote the Wicked Witch, “I’ll get you my pretty, and your little dog too.” What if Pongo is in a sense Toto, or at least shares a connection with the Witch?
2) One of the articles mentioned that this villainess had her own theme song. While the Witch does have a familiar leitmotif from the film, I’m not sure if that really counts as a song.
3) The specifically cast a British actress, and it’s been reported that she’ll be keeping her accent.
4) At NYCC, Adam and Eddy expressed interest in introducing Cruella on the show.

ModeratorI think this might be the most important unanswered question of the Season by far. WHY would Pan’s death by Rumple’s hands kill Rumple as a side effect? Is there more to the Dark One curse that we don’t know about?

Okay, Rumple giving himself up was so sad.
Then we have Regina having to give up Henry again. And EVERYONE goes back to the enchanted forest except Emma and Henry! Then Hook and Emma finally acknowledging that they like each other.
And if that scene with the curse taking over wasn’t sad enough, they add that heart renching music and a shot of the once upon a time book disappearing in the curse. I was balling my eyes out it was horrible.
Regina gives Emma happy memories but Henry and Emma won’t have any of the memories of storybrooke. Goodness.
And THEN freaking HOOK shows up at Emma and Henry’s door?! So the curse hasn’t affected him!!
I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL MARCH. Why do you do this to me?!

ModeratorOk so I have a crack theory for Mader’s new villainess since we have so many weird family connections. I was thinking that either she is actually Medusa or Circe, from Greek mythology as well, who is actually Medusa’s sister or mother out for revenge. I know crazy and maybe not iconic….but I think since the show is meant to revolve around the Charming family which now includes all of our core cast by the way this would be a fun way to do that. S ince she is according to greek mythology the goddess of witchcraft this would mean that Emma would have to take more lessons from Regina to combat her. What would really be fun is if Ursula winds up being in this little family as well, perhaps as Circe’s sister. They team up Circe v. The Charmings and Regina v. Ursula forcing the Charmings and Regina to team up once again….ok I know its a crack theory but I really like it.
Except Snow killed Medusa in the last episode.

I think the rights for MP are debatable.
It’s likely that they would need permission from the Travers estate. Adam and Eddy still needed to get the rights for Peter Pan, and the Disney film didn’t automatically allow Once to use those rights. The same likely applies for Mary Poppins, and getting permission from the Travers estate to make an evil Mary Poppins probably wouldn’t go too well. Plus, the article said “iconic villain”, and Mary Poppins isn’t iconic as a villain in the slightest. While they did get away with making Peter Pan evil, they cited that the inspiration came from Pan’s desire for remaining forever young. How would they twist Mary Poppins as a villainess, especially when she’s “practically perfect in every way”?

ModeratorSo 314 is a Charming episode? Does he rescue Rapunzel?
Or perhaps we’re getting more of Prince James, and he rescued Rapunzel for some sort of selfish goal.

Maybe we only think he dies. Dun, dun, dun!
They did put up blinds to hide some of the filming, so we don’t know what happens immediately after Pan/Malcolm is stabbed. Perhaps Malcolm and Rumple make peace with each other, and somehow both of their lives are spared. It’s either that, or Pan really does bite it, and Robbie’s just trying his best to hide it.

ModeratorThere’s a precedent for Regina locking a girl up for future use in a revenge plot, so it would fit if she’s in the Gothel role, holding Rapunzel prisoner. How would Robin figure into scenes of Regina being Gothel though? OH idea…Rapunzel is related to Marian? Though you’d think it wouldn’t bode well for the future of OutlawQueen if Robin had to rescue a relative who was being imprisoned by Regina. Hmmmm. WWW being a mother? Dunno. Would they want to show a sympathetic edge to her when she’s only a couple of eps into her run as a big villain? I could see WWW wanting to steal Rapunzel for her own purposes though, and that setting up a rivalry between her and Regina, if there wasn’t one previously.
If Robin Hood is involved, I think it’s likely that Flynn Rider (Rapunzel’s love interest in the film) could be a part of his Merry Men.
