I was thinking about why on earth do they have that picture of Henry?!
What if Henry was prophesied to PP or BF before Rumple was the dark one. And BF (with PP) but everything in motion to ‘create’ Henry in the 21st Century and have a plan in place to bring him back to NL. Very crazy and I’m sure there are some holes I’m missing. Any thoughts?
Now I still don’t have an idea as to why they need Henry. You mean Henry could have been prophesied as Peter Pan’s undoing too? That sounds likely…

ModeratorAs RumplesGirl already brought up, the split-Season model has worked for cable shows for quite some time and it’s worked for a few network shows too. If it means better ratings and avoiding running Once against stuff like the Grammy’s and the Olmypics, then I would gladly have a longer hiatus rather than constant shorter ones. Also, the split-Season model makes it much easier for viewers to know when new episodes are airing. The on and off scheduling confused a lot of people, even with ABC’s promotion. Besides, what’s the point in having Once air new episodes in January and February when it would just get slaughtered as a result of the special programming it would have to compete against? For example, having Once return from its SuperBowl hiatus to directly compete against the Grammy’s just didn’t work that well, and the ratings suffered as a result.
I should also add that we get a few MORE episodes in the fall than we normally get, which should be about 12 episodes. We only got 7 episodes in the Fall for Season 1 and 9 episodes in the Fall for Season 2.

In all honesty, despite Neal’s lack of being a “Regular” in Season 2, he had a lot more overall screentime in the Season compared to Belle and especially Ruby (both who were credited as “Regulars”).
Goes back to what Myril was saying here about defining regular and core cast and main cast. I considered him main cast even though he wasn’t a regular and considered Ruby a reoccurring even though she was regular. TV is weird.
True. In short, Regular translates to = they get paid more than a recurring role or guest star. We also had August and Cora both around for quite a while, and they were only recurring roles.

ModeratorIn regards to Snow, it was hinted that she spent some time with Robin Hood and his merry men, so we might at least get that story. I imagine that taking place in-between “The Heart is a Lonely Hunter” and “The Evil Queen.”
I would also like to see more Nealfire flashbacks. There’s definitely more to his story in Neverland, and I would love to see his early days in A Land Without Magic and how he escaped Neverland.

Will give Intelligence for sure a try, and cross fingers that it will work out for Meghan Ory. I’m glad she has a chance to show more of her talent.
It was to be expected, that for the time being, for the next season Meghan Ory as Red will be no regular anymore. But hopefully her new series will leave her the time to drop by. Guest star once a year, could live with that.
Now for Red/Ruby. She is one of my favorite characters (hard to tell), and I wish they would have done more with her. For the sake of this brilliant idea to make Red her own wolf, and for the sake of Meghan Ory.
Different from others here I saw some story potential, still see. After all she tragically killed her first love, and that is great material for character driven drama. We got a glimpse of how she dealt with it in Child of the Moon, but there could be more. Imagine her getting interested again in someone, all the angst coming back if she would be able to control herself when emotions might run high. The angst how that person will see her as a werewolf. Memories coming back. Make it someone with family, who fears the werewolf. Make the someone a person seen with some doubts by Granny and her surrogate family aka Snow, Charming, Emma… Red/Ruby as the first to find her true love in Storybrooke, or maybe even in our world.
Then there is the friendship with Belle. And now taking care of things in Storybrooke while the everybody so far in charge is away. King George resurfacing conspiring with Keith/Sheriff of Nottingham against Ruby, Granny and Belle, combined with a flashback to Red’s role in overthrowing George.
I know the upcoming graphic novel they’re publishing will include Red and Graham and maybe some interaction between them. Some had speculated that their paths crossed in FTL. Would have love to see that on screen. But it’s something.
Relationship wise, there was potential for her to start dating Dr, Whale, AKA “Frankenwolf.” I would have been interested in seeing that develop more. Same goes for her friendship with Belle.

If this truly takes place before OUAT in the timeline, are we to possibly assume that Alice is not Grace’s mother, just going off the context of the trailer?
Also – I feel the Genie might be a slight Aladdin nod – and great casting. He’s quite good looking 😆
It is still going to be canon to the same universe as OUAT. When the creators said it would be its own thing, they meant that it would be focused on its own set of characters and they are open to specific OUAT characters like Jefferson and Cora guest starring.

ModeratorI loved what I saw in the trailer, and I anticipate the series premiere!

ModeratorBEST EPISODE: “Second Star to the Right”/”And Straight On Til’ Morning”
I’m going to cheat a little, but these two episodes were intended to be watched together and are essentially a two-parter as the titles suggest. This Season finale just had everything. I loved getting to finally get a peek at Neverland, and FINALLY seeing more of Bae’s backstory following his departure from FTL. The dark twist with Peter Pan and The Shadow were both interesting and creepy. I also loved seeing Bae and Hook interact, as it reminded me of Jim Hawkins and Long John Silver from “Treasure Island.” Rumple, Regina and Hook all had their redeeming moments in these episodes. We had Rumple admitting to his mistake of bringing magic into town, restoring Belle’s memories, and he stopped thinking about avoiding the prophecy for the sake of protecting his grandson. We had Regina own up for all of her mistakes by trying to stop the trigger, and she made peace with the Charmings for their common goal of saving Henry. Even Hook redeemed himself by helping get one of the beans and offering his ship as a vessel to retrieve Henry. The ending is of course a great set-up for Season 3.Best Runner Up: “Queen of Hearts”
This episode was a huge relief for many reasons, the biggest being Emma and Snow’s much needed return from FTL. We even got an epic showdown with them, Mulan, and Aurora against Hook and Cora at Lake Nostos. Even the flashback with the reveal that Cora was the Queen of Hearts was fun to see, along with witnessing how she and Hook avoided the curse. So much was resolved, and it was a very satisfying Winter Finale.WORST EPISODE: “Selfless, Brave and True”
This has got to be the most hated episode of the Season. I was not a huge fan having August randomly gone for over half of the Season, and his returning episode was a huge letdown. As other people have said, the flashback with Neal and the Dragon was just too weird and out of place, and Tamara’s role was just annoying. We also had the infamous taser, which even Adam & Eddy admitted was a big screw-up thanks to getting responses from many fans who accused them of not knowing how wood and electricity work. I’m also not a huge fan of reverting August to a little boy again. Geppetto pulled that whole stunt with the wardrobe, and yet he gets a second chance with Pinocchio as a little boy, while Snow didn’t with Emma? Not only that, but we as an audience didn’t fall in love with the kid Pinocchio we only briefly saw. We were in love with the fully grown August that we saw for half of Season 1. Rebooting August felt more like it was an excuse to write Eion Bailey off the show.Worst Runner Up: ‘In The Name of The Brother”
This was the episode that really started the ratings slope for the remainder of the Season. As much as I’ve loved Jane Espenson’s other episodes, this was certainly her weakest episode of the series thus far. Everything about the episode just felt out of place, angsty, and a bit too dark. I actually enjoyed “The Doctor”, but the flashback in this episode was a poor continuation of Frankenstein’s storyline. The only thing I really enjoyed in this episode was the Frankenwolf scene, particularly the “I ate my boyfriend” line. 😆MatthewPaul
ModeratorI’m still vouching that Ariel is not one of the Neverland mermaids, going by what’s been hinted about her by Regina and Rumple. Regina also seemed unfamiliar with Neverland and didn’t even recognize it on the globe.
