I watched Descendants 2 tonight too, and I agree with pretty much all of your points, Watcher. The 1st movie was technically bad in itself, but I at least felt like there was more substance to it. Plus, there were enough so bad it’s good cringeworthy moments to laugh at. But Descendants 2 is just so….bland. There was a lot of emptiness and lack of direction.
One of my biggest issues with this movie was we barely got to see any of the villain parents this time around. They even got Whoopi Goldberg to play Ursula, but we only see her tentacle and hear her say like one line for just a brief scene. Really, they went through the trouble of getting Whoopi just for that? The other villain parent who appeared was Lady Tremaine, but just like with Ursula, we only hear her. Why couldn’t we get more of those 2, along with seeing Hook and Gaston? Heck, we don’t even see the villain parents from the 1st movie again, aside from Maleficent in her lizard form briefly. I get that the focus of these movies are the descendants themselves, but it felt more complete seeing all of the adults too.

Yeah, black friday is the one day that i could see them skipping. I think in the past they skipped the sunday before thanksgiving, but i could see them skipping that day right after since a lot of people in America do family stuff for that long weekend and start their Christmas shopping.
I know ABC has had their past Friday lineups skip Black Friday before, since it’s a part of the greater Thanksgiving holiday weekend. So they may opt for holiday specials that night, like they’ve done before.
Since we moved to Fridays and donโt have to contend with Sunday night things like we used to, Iโll go ahead and guess that weโre gonna have 10 straight episodes, 3 months off, and then 12 straight.
Maybe during Comic Con this weekend, Adam and Eddy will discuss how the episodes will be split this Season. A big question for me is whether it’d even air an episode on Black Friday, for one.
