I have the same theory with the water of the Lake Nostos. But maybe it doesn’t bring back all things, what one has lost. Belle lost her memories and in some way her love for Rumple, at least she can’t remember it. So, the water can bring either her memories or her love back . But only true love kiss can restore her full memories and her love for Rumple.
By the way, I love what Robert said about this episode. But I’m really curious about “the beginning of some other part of the journey” and I don’t want the spring hiatus before this episode airs.
The reason why I think Lake Nostos will be the cure is because Sneezy needs to regain his memories too. It’s not like Sneezy has a true love to kiss him, and I certainly can’t see a brotherly love kiss from the dwarves bringing him back either. Heh! Lake Nostos has no limits, as far as we know. It could turn Frederick back from being a golden statue, bring magic into Storybrooke, cure Snow’s infertility, make a portal from the wardrobe’s ashes, and restore a dead bean. I doubt restoring memories are beyond its reach.

As I suspected, since the Ruby slippers are an original trademark of the 1939 film, Disney can’t use them according to this article. They would have to go through Warner Bros., who owns the rights to the slippers. If they weren’t willing to pay Warner Bros. to use them in “Oz the Great and Powerful”, then you can be certain Once using them would be out of the question. This means the slippers would likely be silver as in the original book, if we do see them:

Fans have a very active imagination. Honestly, the fans come up with a lot of theories that could have turned out better than what we actually got. I recall Eddy and Adam even responding with “Wow! Why didn’t we think of that?” when talking about fan theories they’ve heard of.
I thought of a recent theory for how Rumple helps Belle regain her memories:
After Rumple has courted her enough to gain “Lacey’s” trust, perhaps he will convince her to “take a leap of faith” and drink some water from the well. The well, as we know, appears to be Storybrooke’s counterpart to Lake Nostos and has been described to “have the power to bring back what was once lost”, just like the water from the lake. It would be ironic if the very well that brought magic with its price of the barrier curse happens to also be the cure for anyone who lost their memory as a result of crossing the line. I think Rumple needs to take some advice from August, and retrace his steps to figure out this solution.
Or, we’re all overthinking this and Owen really could be someone else entirely as I already pointed out! Would be interesting if he actually is a Young Greg, but we’ll have to wait till the episode airs for confirmation.

Regarding AFV: The 7pm hour is somewhat considered a death slot, it does well enough, and it’s cheap.

Actually, only Owen retained his casting call name. Ben’s final name is listed as Kurt. Yeah, I think Greg really hadn’t been to Storybrooke before until now.
I just realized there would actually be a plot hole if Greg really had been to Storybrooke as a kid. He would be familiar with some of the people in town, and he would have also noticed that they didn’t age. Seems like Greg really hadn’t been to town before until recently.
As for wiping their memories, Regina had no real magic to be able to do such a thing. She could only create magic from a few objects, and it wasn’t a lot.

Unless Greg changed his name since being a kid, it’s not him and his father. The names listed are Owen and Kurt Flynn, so looks like new characters entirely. Press releases also don’t use aliases for character names like casting calls do.
They are? For real and not just decoy names? Ok, never mind that theory then!
Press releases always have the real names, so no they are not just decoy names.
