here is a scene where it turns out I can’t give Rumple what he wants. It was an incredibly emotional scene for both of us, and it was really beautiful. That scene stood out for me, probably my favorite.
She is going to break his heart. SHE MUST DIE. OK? SHE MUST DIE. 👿 👿 👿 👿
I think the scene she is actually referring to is how she refuses to give up Regina to him.

ModeratorGranny and Archie aren’t even in the episode, according the press release, so they’re really trying to hide the obvious.

They’re not plotholes or inconsistencies when it’s showing us the past and then filling in the gaps along the way. We only met the character last week! They already showed that Snow was being a brat and learned her lesson and (until very recently) has always strived to do the right thing in honor of Eva and the things she taught her. So what’s to say that Eva didn’t used to be young and stupid and something showed her the error of her ways? I’m sure we’ll see what made Eva smarten up, maybe even this week. She was young here, people get wiser with age (at least I hope so) and realize that they can’t do the stupid stuff they did as kids, it’s not right. We’ve only seen what Eva became, not where she started out. Give her a chance.
Occasionally other characters may seem a little “out of character” but anything that is from a flashback just means that we haven’t actually gotten to see where they got that power, or why they switched so drastically from good to evil. Give it time and more gaps will be filled in. If they weren’t going to go into what made these people who they are there wouldn’t be that much of a plot to begin with and we wouldn’t have a show to enjoy.
I get the impression that both this episode and the last are showing that not only is “evil isn’t born, it’s made”, but neither is good. People aren’t born pure good or pure evil. It is their actions and life experiences that determine who they become.

ModeratorConsidering Sarah Bolger has a pilot for another ABC show called Mixology, I sure hope they manage to wrap up Aurora and Mulan’s story arc by the end of the Season. Especially if Mixology is picked up for a series this Fall. Jamie Chung’s availability is another factor.

ModeratorWhile I do appreciate the spoilers and sneak peeks, I somewhat hope that the next few episodes just have the regular minimal sneak peeks and no several TV news sites giving extensive hints about how the episode goes down. I know those sites only get to prescreen select episodes, so it is not an every week occurrence.

ModeratorI’m surprised none of the hype or promotion has even brought up that this is the episode where we FINALLY see Once’s take on the traditional Rumplestiltskin story. I mean yeah the dagger and someone dying is a big deal, but this particular flashback has been long overdue.

ModeratorSeason 2 will likely be on Netflix in September, right after the DVD set is out a few weeks before. That’s how it worked last year with them adding Season 1.

ModeratorI laughed pretty hard at Emma’s conversation with Rumple on the ship:
Emma: “About that dagger of your’s. Cora and Regina. If they do have it, they can make you do anything?”
Rumple: “Indeed.”
Emma: “Like…kill us all?”
Rumple: “Yeah…You’re hoping I bleed to death, aren’t you?”
Emma: “You’re Henry’s Grandfather. You’re family now, and I’m gonna save you.”
Rumple: “Oh I feel so reassured!”I can see some subtle connections between Prince Henry here and the older Henry he presumably grows up to be. It’s also clear that he’s genuinely a nice guy and see’s something in Cora that his snobbish father can’t.

ModeratorIs it? I thought it was the Dwarves’ cottage, but I could be wrong.
