ModeratorWhile I personally don’t want Rumple to end up being Regina’s biological father for all of the reasons stated above, I still wouldn’t put it past the writers to do this. They seem to love making everything twisted and complicated.

ModeratorI’m surprised that reporters have seen the episode so early. They only got to see “Manhattan” a week before it aired, but we still have to wait for “The Queen is Dead” to air, which won’t be until the Sunday after this Sunday.

ModeratorI wouldn’t be surprised if Regina banned the story of Snow White from Storybrooke in all mediums (books, movies, etc.)

ModeratorOne thing I don’t think anyone has brought up is the possibility of breaking Rumple’s curse as the Dark One via outright destroying the dagger. In “The Return”, Rumple even tells August that he can destroy the dagger. Perhaps Henry destroys the dagger, or Rumple ends up destroying the dagger himself to protect Henry? If the dagger can in fact be destroyed, not only would Rumple likely be cured, but nobody else would be able to become the new Dark One. The dagger could also be similar to the One Ring from Lord of the Rings, where it can only be destroyed via a certain way, which would present another challenge.

ModeratorI think it has more to do with the way ABC has to schedule the show. They weren’t going to compete with the Super Bowl and they have to air the Oscars this Sunday. If any episodes are produced with hiatuses in mind, it would be the mid-Season finale, the episode before the Oscar hiatus, the episode before the April hiatus, and the Season finale. Here is the rundown:
Season 1
Episode before Thanksgiving Hiatus: “The Price of Gold” – No significant cliffhanger. Just that Emma makes her deal with Gold, which wouldn’t be acted upon until Mid-Season 2.
Winter Finale: “Heart is a Lonely Hunter” – Ended on the cliffhanger of Graham dying.
Episode before Super Bowl Hiatus: “Fruit of the Poisonous Tree” – No significant cliffhanger. Just the reveal that Sidney was secretly still working alongside Regina. You could make a case that “Skin Deep” was hyped as the next episode.
Episode before Oscar Hiatus: “What Happened to Frederick” – Ended with the cliffhanger of Regina suddenly making Kathryn disappear, therefore leading into the infamous “Mara Margaret is framed” story arc.
Episode before April Hiatus: “The Stable Boy” – Ended with the reveal that Kathyrn is not dead, and therefore ending the “Mara Margaret is framed” story arc.
Season Finale: “A Land Without Magic” – Ended with the curse broken, but Rumple introducing magic into Storybrooke.Season 2
Episode before Thanksgiving Hiatus: “Child of the Moon” – This was more or less a filler episode with not too big of a cliffhanger. Just Henry and Aurora communicating, which leads into “Into the Deep,”
Winter Finale: “Queen of Hearts” – Ended with the resolution of the “Trapped in Present Day FTL” story arc, and with the cliffhanger of Hook and Cora approaching Storybrooke.
Episode before Super Bowl Hiatus – No significant cliffhanger. Just that Greg lied to Emma about what he saw, foreshadowing his knowledge of magic as a threat. Still wasn’t a blockbuster episode, and we have yet to see Greg’s real significance. Returning episode was “Tiny”, which was also not a blockbuster episode.
Episode before Oscar Hiatus: “Manhattan” – Ended with the reveal of the prophecy regarding Henry, and left us hanging as Mr. Gold starred at Henry.
Episode before April Hiatus: To Be Determined, but will likely end with a significant cliffhanger.
Season Finale: To Be Determined, but you can bet it will end with something big that will make us beg to see Season 3.MatthewPaul

Interesting! So in the timeline, they probably won’t be around at the beginning of SB then, because Regina didn’t adopt Henry until 18 years into the curse.
Judging by this statement by K&H in one of their “lightening rounds” of questions, we won’t see babyHenry in this ep:
Will we get to see how Regina came to adopt Henry (Jared Gilmore)?
Edward Kitsis: We will eventually. Not this season.http://www.tvguide.com/News/Once-Upon-Time-Spoilers-Kitsis-Horowitz-ABC-1060428.aspx
So we’ll see before and after the fact in this ep, but we won’t see how he actually arrives. They’re such teases!!!It was also stated in another interview or I think possibly the official podcast that we wouldn’t see how Henry got to Storybrooke this Season. I hope they at least cover that story next Season. It is one of the glaring unanswered questions we’ve been waiting for since the very beginning.

ModeratorI must be the only one who doesn’t think Tamara is Tinkerbell or Tiger Lilly. Especially not Tiger Lilly, since Tiger Lilly supposed to be Native American based, not African American (even the casting call specifies African American). As for Tinkerbell, I could buy them making a twist by making her African American as opposed to Caucasian. However, she might possibly be a non Fairy Tale character, and being Neal’s fiancee is enough. If she is a Fairy Tale character, she could possibly be Tiana, as early speculators theorized.

ModeratorI think the showdown against Cora will definitely be the finale. I also think the Season will end with either the beans growing and/or the barrier curse (the curse that prevents Storybrooke residents from crossing the town line with their memories intact) broken. Greg’s overall role in the series will also likely progress towards the end of the Season.

The NBA All Stars Game and it being President’s Day Weekend also likely hurt Once and everything else last night. Since people have off today, a good portion of them probably went out last night instead of watching TV. Still, I am pretty disappointed in these ratings. I fear some of the audience really has given up on the show, both because of the frustrating writing and the constant breaks.
I have just about giving up on this show too, with all the breaks etc plus it isn’t very good at all at least in Season 1, we saw Emma and Snow building a relationship and you know where they were going with the story. But this season with the Dr Frankstien Episodes not once but twice, Capitain Hook throwing in now in almost all the episodes and most of the 1st stories with David was terrible in my opinion. The story was suppose to be about Snow White, now we get on Bella, Rumble, and Hook all the time the writting has really gone down hill in my opinion. 🙁 .
I feel what hurt was with the curse broken at the end of Season 1, the show lost the storyline it was built around. In Season 2, the writers seem lost in what direction to go and what to do with the characters they have, not to mention what to do with the new characters introduced. Most viewers I’ve witnessed weren’t fans of the “Emma and Snow trapped in FTL” story arc, too, which dragged out the entire first half of the Season. I think the writers need to take a few steps back and develop their story and characters a bit more. There’s potential that they can improve upon with the end of Season 2 and Season 3.

Actually, I’ve been to South Street Seaport in NYC, and a lot of the ships I’ve seen there (they have a museum indoors, so maybe that explains it?) look like old-type ships. Hook’s getup would be kind of crazy looking, even to New Yorkers.
How does Hook find Bae’s apartment?? Do Emma, Rumple, or Henry leave at a certain point and he stalks them?? There are some plot holes in this part of the promo that I hope get filled in during the episode cause if they don’t it’s going to be very disjointed.
Maybe Hook breaks in to Rumple’s shop again, and he finds the globe locating Bae’s whereabouts? I agree that he probably uses his ship. Maybe since the ship was enchanted like Bae’s shawl was, the ship will still be invisible when he leaves Storybrooke?
