[adrotate group="5"]I still think you guys have it wrong. I really think Hook, Regina and Rumple in Seattle ARE the same ones we knew, but cursed. The new Cinderella isn’t a carbon copy of the old Cinderella, but an entirely different version altogether. It’s like how there are different adaptations of all these stories throughout the centuries, and they even compared it to the Disney animated films vs. their live action remakes. They even said they would explain what happened to Hook in episode 2.
I think this would also explain one of the biggest questions in the entire series: How were the events of stories Snow White occurring concurrently with 1970s/1980s Land Without Magic, when those stories had already existed in the Land Without Magic for a long time prior? The answer is that it wasn’t necessarily the 1st versions of those stories. Stories are retold and changed several times throughout history, after all. It’s a convoluted confusing mess, but I think there is some logic behind this.
I’m trying to read this on the fly but…man am I seriously confused. So these new characters are 100% separate from our original???
I think only Cinderella is confirmed to be. Henry is definitely supposed to be our Henry, and I’m pretty sure Hook is also still our Hook, based on what they said. I imagine the same will be the case for Regina and Rumple. Entirely new versions of any other characters will likely be different actors like with Cinderella, I imagine.

Per Kitsis, the present day story will be set in Seattle, while flashbacks will take viewers back to the Enchanted Forest — but things will be a little different. “Henry is in a new Enchanted Forest with characters that we have seen before but with different tales,” Kitsis revealed. Storybrooke, however, is not out of the picture completely. “I think we may see it a few times throughout the year,” Ktisis said.
