There are so many voices inside his had?I guess those are from all other Dark ones that existed.
That would be cool.. There is one scary movie with this theme, With a mental patient that turns out to be possessed with many “demons” and they jump from one person to the NeXT when one dies. I dont remember the name of it. But it would be great if they used that idea here.
[adrotate group="5"]GrimmsisterParticipantI still would have disliked her.
You could also just dislike her actions then. not the person.
GrimmsisterParticipantBut we should never make it easy for ourselves to hate a person (and not just their action, doings). So even if it is just about a fictional character it reflects on what happens in real, and it makes me sad, very very sad, that people are so quick with judgment.
Oh agreed and seconded all the way!!! that is so true.. Like Obisgirl says she is easier to hate because so Little is known about her. Appearently unexplained villainry is needed in a fairytale and in real life too. Milah is just a scapegoat.
GrimmsisterParticipantI’d try and follow that thread if you make it Grimmsistr If not, here are some thoughts: I think they do a pretty good job of “selectively” blending, or attempting to blend good and evil. Their moments of well thought out character development shine, even hidden among the painfully presented *duh*/filler stuff! The writers have made Snow, in particular, do some of the *dumb to the bone* things I mentioned. But every character has had their *excuse meeee, whaaaat?* moments. I just hope they don’t shift to the *duh* side any further. It may not be the best of consistent writing (and I still hold with the belief that they are hampered a lot with the 41 minutes of commercial riddled air time, non-cable, Sunday Family before 9, time slot . It SUCKS.) But the potential is still irresistible. (like you, I feel that the *gut* level of the writing is often lacking. Fans often come up with some much more intensely interesting twists and turns!) It takes quite the talent to tackle the challenge of tweaking formulaic writing. A and E and writers hit, then miss, then knock some things out of the park. The line between struggling, flawed heroes and wretched villains can get very thin…the line between principled protagonist and dimwitted goody goody can be stretched to extreme limits, too… and the speed in which they choose to unfold and intertwine the plotlines is a detriment to great writing. TV audiences are fickle and all have a certain depth of ADD. They aren’t patient. I think viewers hurt themselves in that regard because the studios/writers feed the attention spans of the audiences. Vicious cycle. They’ve done some really good things with Rumple and Regina, Cora, Hook, Emma…and numerous secondary characters. Even the Charmings! Some leave us shaking our heads. But they are actually in there fighting the good fight of providing an intriguing tale for us. Shrugggg… … the unavoidable nature of the television beast.
I suppose we can carry on the convo on this thread unless ready_to_Rumbelle throw us out 🙂
I agree that its all still a very good tale. Otherwise I wouldnt still be watching. But I do wish they wouldnt give in so much to the unavoidable television Beast as you call it XD and just try to write a good story not for the shipper-fans or any other fans or for the sake of keeping the Network happy. But to make the story best as they possibly can. If all these power and moneyhungry peeps behind the Beast werent there, or atleast realized they didnt need all them Money to make good tv, there wouldnt be no unavoidable tv-monster.. so it is avoidable if we and they stop feading it.
But probs to them still. I cant take away the good that they have done with the show. Like the idea to blend fairytales in the first place.
But I think they do rush certain Things and drag others out to much. Because they do have to ‘please the fans’ and the Network. And sometimes that Hurts the story. Going back to the Charmings- They often are horribly written and inconsistent.. like we have Bandit Snow in the one end and then depressed Snow in the other, depressed because she thinks she has done something wrong… Bandit Snow would own that and move on. I suppose they can put that on the fact that Bandit Snow and Mary Margereth/Snow are two different versions, but then they didnt do a good job or had too Little time to really paint that Picture. Snows character just annoys me alot, because they could do so much with her and they do so Little. And that really goes for the Charming David too. Who is he, other than an extension of a sword?
The good Guys are too goody-two-shoes I think.. Emma is alright, because she is complicated and has done Things that flawed her character, like giving Henry up and having trouble coming to terms with being a mother. So they do a good job writing her I think. But with all the time they have had now coming up to the 4th season soon. They could have done so much better with a lot of them.
GrimmsisterParticipantOMG YEA! She saw the tattoo 😀
And they are awsome together. Great chemestry. Just as good as I had hoped. That was the greatest peek ever!!
I think Regina is gonna run out the door now that she sees the tatoo. And Robin is gonna stand left behind looking very confused thinking “huh! what did I say??”
GrimmsisterParticipantThey all kind of meld in the middle. Keeps us all on our *viewer* toes. What is so irresistible about OUAT is the blending of personal layers of Good and Not so Good :), dumb and smart.
This has me thinking Again as I sometimes have. Do they really do such a good job at the blending evil and good? they say (the writers and producers) that the show want to show that evil is not pure.. its made.. as they say and good is somehow not all good, but also tainted with evil. But then on the show the “hero” characters always have and excuse when they make mistakes. Its like the writers dont have the guts, I think, to really make them do something ambivalent that will make the viewers question their good motives. And then when they do make a mistake its perhabs mostly out of stupidity.
When forexample Snow makes mistakes Like making Regina kill her Mother. its in a way with good intentions in mind and she questions her own choice so much that she runs to them to stop Regina but conveaniently comes to late. But why not let Snow do something for selfish reasons and not be apologetic about it? That would make Things interesting in my opinion.
This subject is a bit of from the origin of this thread. If someone want to discuss this I will happily make a new thread on it, cause I find it very interesting.
GrimmsisterParticipanthehe!.. good answer WickedRegal XD I second that !
GrimmsisterParticipantwow! Lumiere in the candle. I did not notice that. Thats awsome!
GrimmsisterParticipant(eek, no no no no NO …I’m not even going to state the possibility if she used Rumple)
You might not want to state it but now you’ve put that idea in my head, so forgive me for stating the obvious now 😉 If she used Rumple to cast the curse, and the curse still needs the Heart of what you love the most. That Means Rumple has killed Neal. So Neal is the series regular that dies. Thats real sad and twisted. No Wonder he has gone crazy if this is true.
But Im thinking that Z probably cast the curse herself. And because Regina had already cast it and opened the door once before, Z wont need to make as big a sacrifice to recast it. Possibly she just needs Reginas blood and thats why she made that Monkey steal some. Regina is like “the key” to opening the door Again and thats also why Storybrook came back looking pretty much the same as before… So it is the same curse as what Regina cast just recasted by Z. Anyway that is what I think.
GrimmsisterParticipant“Regina looks at Zelena and sees a lot of herself in her,” Parrilla says. “The way Regina views Zelena is somewhat like, ‘Been there, done that. I used to be you.’ There are even things Zelena says to her and Regina’s like, ‘I think I’ve heard that before. Oh wait, I’ve said that.’ It’s almost like a role reversal.”
Regina is the Snowwhite this time around. Interestingly in the last ep when she was about to use the sleepingcurse on herself she used her hairpin as the “needle” and in the old Snowwhite fairytale there are three different ways the Evil Queen tries to kill Snowwhite- one with the apple, one with rippons around her waist and one with a poisonous hairpin 🙂 . A girl on the podcast reminded me of this, otherwise it had slipped my mind.
As for whether this makes Regina the Wicked Witch of the East, Parrilla played very coy about the Evil Queen’s connection to Oz. “There’s an interesting twist that’s coming up,” she says. “I wouldn’t rule out that possibility.”
An interesting twist!! well well could it be that she is a changeling. Not Coras child but Eva and Henry Sr’s. Henry Sr. is also Z’s father. Z is the baby-Regina in the Millers daughter ep 🙂
Henry and Regina get together and spend an afternoon getting to know one another. It’s really sweet. Of course, Regina wants to put her arm around him, kiss him and do all the motherly things she’s always done to him, but she can’t. It forces her to have a friendship with Henry. She has to dig within herself to be this kid’s friend and get to know him without the pressures of being a mother.”
AAWWWWW!! this… I hope this is in next ep. I cant wait to see it 🙂

There is a retcon flavor to it,
I really cant taste that at all. What I can taste is something Wickedly spicey and sweet 🙂
