long long long ago Blue fell in love with a mortal man but as all mortal men are wont to do: he would someday die. Unable to live without him, Blue enchanted a dagger that would turn him immortal so they could be together forever. She stabbed him in the heart with her dagger but all magic comes with a price and it placed upon her beloved a terrible Dark Curse, turning him into the first Dark One. Since then Blue has been determined to rid the world of the Dark One’s Curse, something that reminds her of the love she lost.

wow I like that idea 😀

I agree POM. I think that for some things it would work, but not for this show the way they have written it.

noo, I would not like it if they ended up with a scene of Emma and the gang meeting the writers. That would be stretching it, they wouldnt be able to make it in a satisfactory way I think. I hope LWM is as close to ‘our’ world as we get.

But they could hint at it, like a glimpse of the writers sitting at their desks and Emma looking at them through the portal hat doors or something. So not a head-on meeting, but something subtle would be fun.

This ‘new true love’ story twist, has its problems I think. First they start off the show by implying there is True Love, wich is magical and ment to be and if you Loose it your basically screwed. Now they are saying, but you can find true love Again wich is then also ment to be and hey your life is ruined if you mess it up…

Regina has her True Love, lost it, and then there was Robin. But Robin hadnt had his first love yet at this point, so was Mariann the Second or the first??

Wait, perhabs it screwed up Robins life that Regina didnt meet him, but then he had his second chance, like Robin was Reginas second chance in ‘commen fairy’ But the difference was that Robin grabbed his second chance and hooked up with Mariann and so his life was not ruined eny more after that… does that Work?

Yeah I think it does, but Im still a bit confused over this True Love concept, if you can go out and find new true love- then why is it so magical in the first place?

I feel like True Love is like the ultimate matchmaker service. This guy is right for you, but this guy or that guy would also be perfect for you if you mess the first one up.. its like arranged marriages. the words True Love sort of Looses their meaning in my mind if this is the case.

Well Id say, the yellow brick road at the end of episode one is indisputable evidence that they are hinting at some type of mashup Wonderland/Oz.

I love that the White Rabbit is Toto in that shot 😀

Likewise the restless the unicorn it is said can only be brought to bay by innocents (generally-speaking virgins, quite often female). Like a unicorn Regina has a restless nature that only Henry has been able to calm. While attempts made by anyone else have all ended with them getting burned. Henry’s childhood innocence has calmed Regina’s spirit and his believing heart give her hope. Woe betide the rest of the family if that changes.

Are you familiar with the fairytale ‘The Golden Blackbird’? wich, in my understanding, keeps showing up symbolicly in OUAT. For instance for what you just wrote, compare it with this quote from ‘the Golden Blackbird’-

-“Yes,’ replied his father, ‘very much indeed. But it is not an easy place. There is a little horse in the stable which will not let anyone go near it, and it has already kicked to death several people who have tried to groom it.’

‘I will undertake to groom it,’ said the youth. ‘I never saw the horse I was afraid of yet.’ The little horse allowed itself to be rubbed down without a toss of its head and without a kick.

‘Good gracious!’ exclaimed the master; ‘how is it that he lets you touch him, when no one else can go near him?’

‘Perhaps he knows me,’ answered the stable-boy”
