Cora and Snows mother sisters 😀 yes! love it. It ties it with the fairytale Snow white and Rose red, gives Cora a possibility of motiv to hate and want revenge on her sister- maybe she kills her.. She wanted what her sister had, the prince, the power, the good life.

You’re confusing one fairy tale with another (some people do). Snow White and Rose Red is the tale of two sisters, right, but two sister loving each other and sticking together. They have a happy ending together: Snow White marrying the prince the two sisters saved together, and Red Rose marries the brother of the prince.

The two sisters you might think of are stepsisters (or at best half-sisters – it’s not clear in the tale if they have the same father or not) It’s the tale of Mother Hulda (Frau Holle)….
    .

Not confusing them, just bending the Snow White and Rose Red story a bit 😀 I know everyone was all “happy happy, we’re all friends” in this tale. But lets face it- happy happy ..is a bit boring.
These two sisters both befriended a bear that turned out to be a prince. Snow White married the Prince and Rose Red had to ‘settle’ for the brother, who wasn’t even a part of the fairytale till the end, where he was needed so that Rose Red wouldn’t be left out in the cold. This story wasn’t going to venture in to the land of sister rivalry, that was not what it was about. But I for one can easily see it’s possibilities of going there- but maybe I’m just being cynical 😉
Also these sisters had a relation with a little angry dwarf- this is where Rumple enters in to the story, he probably had something to do with why the sisters, Eva and Cora ended up at eachothers throats, so to speak.

It could work with the dagger. Perhabs this way:
Cora want to marry up. She meets Rumple and he agrees to help her with that. Maybe her family doesn’t have a lot of money, so Rumple gives her gold so she can seem like a ‘high class’ kind of gal. She ends up meeting Prince Henry and they marry(Henry is not told about Rumple yet ofcourse), then when they have Regina, Rumple shows up and claims her as his price for helping Cora (pretty much like the cinderella story)
Cora is devastated she will do anything to keep Rumple from getting her daughter.
Then there are several ways I can see it play out- One is that she goes to find Rumple to try and kill him, she has been told, or found out somehow, that The Dark One can only be killed with his own dagger, she finds the dagger but Rumple, who doesn’t want to die, tells her he will give her power, he will teach her magic, if she gives him back his dagger. Well knowing that as long as Cora has the dagger she controlls his own power, but he doesn’t tell her that ofcourse. The terms are also that she keeps her daughter.
And then somehow Rumple ends up getting all the gold and the fortunes of the Kingdom. Can’t quite figure that one out right now. Anybody have a guess??

She seems to have no one on the outside of Storybrook that she is connected to, she must have led a very lonesome life.
The way I see her (before Storybrook) is as a workaholic. She would have been completely consumed in her ‘detective’ work and then of to a bar every friday to pick up the new dude for a onenighter, to convince herself that she still had some sort of personal life.

They could do an episode on that, but how would they tie it in, as a driving force, for the overall plot of Once?
I don’t see how right now, so I don’t think they will do it. But they might hint at her pre-Storybrook life some more.
However I do think we will get the story of baby Henry at some time, how she gave him up and how and why he ended up in Storybrook of all places.

Scary story 🙁 I feel sad for you. Yeah! like we said family intrigues are the worst ones, all those different peoples, different feelings getting squished inbetween the others.

If it were up to me, he wouldn’t get his son back at all. Not all things needs to end with ‘And they lived happily ever after. Will he find him- Yes, I think so(especially if his son is Neal) but he wont have him back.
Baelfire wont forgive him and, just a guess, Rumple will end up being ‘ripped apart’ (the Rumplestiltzkin fairytale ending) by his grief.

Is there anything in any of the episodes that would substantiate this or make us suspect this? Anything that the writers or actors have tweeted or said in an interview? I haven’t seen anything. In my mind, The Stable Boy dispels this theory. Nothing personal Medchen. But if we are talking theories, we should be talking both pros and cons. For me, the cons simply out weight the pros.

There has been lots of discussion since this post, seen something in another thread to about Snows mom. People have different opinions thats fine and makes it more exiting, nothing personal I get it..
But we are all passioned about some of our theories. I think thats why we just want other people to feel the same passion, so when someone writes “No way that is true” we get defensive.
I LOVE the theory, or the speculation if you will, that Cora and Eva where sisters. I think this could make for such great storytelling. The mere thought of it makes me go *YIBEE! Dancing all exited* 😀

    Anyway, as for evidence.
We now know Henry sr. was a prince, who lost his claim to the throne somehow– check
Cora would need motive for hating and wanting revenge on her sister (family intrigues are always the worst and most complicated ones, hence- a reason for Snow and her father the King not knowing Cora and Regina in Stable boy-check) But her sister ‘having it all’, everything Cora ever wanted. Would be motive for jealousy– check

Hm! Thats all I can come up with presently, agree- This is no hard on solid evidence for anything, but it does give the theory possibilities. Guess I must put on my Sherlock cloak and hat and go see if I can find some more. 😎

One question though GoldenKey, do you not see how great a story that could come from this if ‘Once’ went this way (with the sisters story) and how many ways it would fit in to everything else ?

–Rumple has an odd habit of introducing himself. He tells people his name. Which is obviously totally outside the original fairy tale. So if his name isn’t what Cora finds to break the deal, then what? Could the dagger be making a reappearance? We know that if someone who is not the Dark One wields it, they control the Dark One. I really think Cora knows about the dagger and this might be one way that she found out about it. Instead of guessing his name, she found the dagger and somehow controlled/manipulated Rumple into relinquishing his hold on Regina and at the same time teach Cora magic. That’s the new deal: no Regina and teach me magic, and in return I’ll let you live and give back your dagger. Rumple agrees to this-he has no choice really–but once the deal is complete, he manages to find the loop hole: he leaves Regina alone for now, but takes the kingdom from Henry and Cora.

Yes Yes Yes!! I think you are right on this one. The dagger is Rumples secret. as opposed to his name being the secret in the old fairytale. Plus the name being written on the dagger and everything. Uh! I like this a lot 😀
I can hardly wait to see these two episodes. Gods! they are going to ROCK 😀

There can be numorous reasons why they wouldn’t necessarily see eatchother even though they were sisters and so that Snow and her father wouldn’t know them.
Example: Cora was the oldest and went of as the first one to marry, she found Prince Henry and then the ‘spinning gold for the King’ story happent. So the King and Prince (and Cora) lost the kingdom and their fortune to Rumple, Cora felt guilty and furious, she might have tried to get help and sympathy from her family and her sister, but not gotten it. Then when her sister goes and marries a prince and finds happiness she is jealous.
