Oh I definitely think they doo. Many things on the show is colour coded.
They don’t have too wear the same clothes, just the colors that fits their mood or currant state of mind.
Think how Regina went from solemn blue and earth colors too hard on black in the scene where she chrushes her first heart and becomes evil.[adrotate group="5"]To EvilQueen
How do you compare Emma to the Swan brothers fairytale ?
Yes she has the name Swan, but I dont see any more connections than that. But I have heard someone say David/Charming might be one of the seven Swan brothers. And then his twin one brother and Cinderellas husbans an other.

Also.. Yes they say she isnt an exact fairytale character, she IS JUST EMMA. But the bird/hero persona is that wall that she puts up so that she will have meaning because she thinks whitout it she will be nothing..

The Golden Bird is one of the two fairytales that ALL.. I repeat ALL !!!! of the text in Henrys book that we have been able to read, so it has to have importance.
In this fairytale a boy/prince goes to find the golden bird that stole apples from the royal garden, and the bird ends up helping the boy save the kingdom.
Plus it just fits in so many ways I cant list them all here.

Maybe I already mentioned it here, but Emma also NEEDS to be the hero for Henry, because this gives her an ‘exuse’ too stay in his life and she can feel like she is something too him, she’s afraid that without it she will loose meaning to him.

This I’ve also mentioned before, but just have to bring it up again, sorry 🙂 The fact that she ‘steals’ apples from Reginas tree is a clue that she is the Golden Bird, from that fairytale (no one believes me on this tsk 😕 )
Woauh Woauh Woauh!!! Just listened to a podcast over on sqpn onceuponstime. They talk about Henry wearing purple clothes. Purple is the color of magic.
Henry is going to start using magic and its NOT going to be a good thing…..
