ParticipantThey do have some similarities, looks-wise.

ParticipantYes the music is written by Rice and John, and it is also officially a Disney produced musical, which was based on a Verdi opera. I like many of the songs in connection to Once, actually. They have some strong connections to the themes we’re given here.

ParticipantI think that the show has both. One True Love which is the strongest of all magic – and the byproduct of that is what is so powerful. This is why Emma has an inherent magic to her, she is the product of One True Love. However, characters of the show can have multiple true loves, they just aren’t as purely, strongly magical. Otherwise Rumpel could have gotten the ingredients for his true love potion almost anywhere.

ParticipantI think they will probably use Ariel, since they like to use pieces of the well-known Disney tales, but also pieces of the original. Melody doesn’t exist outside of the Disney version.

I’m thinking that it may have had to do with interal struggle.
A) Cora told Regina that she made deals to get them out of poverty, so maybe Regina thought that if she went back to poverty, the deals that cost herself or her family were made for nothing.
B) She felt obligated to keep up the ruse in front of Snow White. Regina told Snow that she was going to marry her father because she didn’t love Daniel. If Regina didn’t keep up her end, then Snow might ask what really happend reguarding Daniel. If the truth was known, Cora and her heart reputation would come out to the King, and perhaps many others.
Good points!

Astrid said to Leroy “ Someone ones told me. You can do anything as long as you can dream it” I wonder WHO told her that, and if we will ever know who.
Is there any hope for them ??Dreamy tells this to Nova in the fairytale world, and everyone in Storybrooke had some ounce of themselves in their new personalities – small memories that are disconnected from their current world. If someone were to ask Nova “Who told you that?” She would probably experience the same memory loss as everyone else did, she wouldn’t be able to remember, since it was connected to her old life.
I’m really really hoping that we will get to see a Grumpy/Nova reunion in Storybrooke!

ParticipantInteresting comparison… Except that he and Rumpel have a relationship in Fairytale Past where Jefferson is helping Rumpel FIND Bae as we see in The Doctor.
I’m more in favour of Rumpel having taken a magically-inclined Jefferson as a BABY in a deal with another mother, and raising him. So they do have similarities and do have a father/son connection, but not through blood.

ParticipantI agree with Elle. As much as -we- all love the character – how can we not? Robert Carlyle is so magnetic that we all automatically like him and want to make excuses for him, even when he does blatantly awful things. He is a villain. He may be seeking redemption, he may be trying to become better, but he is still a villain.
