I think the humiliation is a reference to Fruit of the Poisonous Tree episode. It must be humiliating that your stepdauhter is always the one being complimented … And there are probably other similar things that happened before, which we just haven’t seen yet.
And knowing Snow she will actually feel regret, even if she sees that Cora tricked her. I don’t think she’ll forgive her that easily, though. Regina did hurt her loved ones after all.

You know, if Regina wanted Emma out of the town, she’d need to make everyone remember. Emma would just freak out and question her sanity. 😆
