Added the golden arrow Rumpel gives Snow. I could be wrong, but I think it might be a reference to the golden arrow from Robin Hood.

I see all your arguments and I think you’re right. I just personally hope he’s not Pinocchio, because I never liked the story … (or rather the Disney film, never actually read the book)Just re-watched the episode and it’s definitely not a medal. It does look like an old megaphone. I wonder though what happened to it in the Pilot. The smaller version seems more stylish. I wish I could make good screens, but they’re always fuzzy.
David or rather Prince Charming was looking for Snow in the scene in the woods. When David remembers the memories with Archie’s help, he remembers finding Snow White and her not remembering him and wanting to kill the EQ. That’s the part he was “acting out” while dazed in the woods. Yes he ran into MM then, but seeing as he wasn’t quite there it’s not surprising he didn’t recognize her.
I just watched the episode again and I think your son is right rumplegoldfan. Snow had just slept and is now making the bed. She then lifts the matress to do so and the key falls down. That makes me think it’s been there for some time and Regina put it there.
The story will end in FTL as it began in the Pilot. The SB ending will be some cliff-hanger, either Emma finally truly believing in Henry’s book or some moment with David/MM. It could also end with David truly remembering.
There will be new characters introduced in season 2, but like hjbau said, there’s plenty of story to tell with Snow/Charming/Emma/Henry/Regina. That won’t be concluded by the end of this season.
