miaParticipant
You surely did a lot of research prior to jumping into the role. What did you consider the best interpretation of Snow White?
I watched every Snow White movie ever made because I thought I could steal from people. The one I love the best is Elizabeth McGovern starring in Shelley Duvall”s “Faerie Tale Theatre.” I think it’s by far the best telling of the story. I read all kinds of versions because this is not a story written by the Grimms. This is a story older than anyone could possibly trace. It’s possible that it was based on a real-life story of a princess named Maria Sophia Maragrita. What is bananas to me about this is I called the creators before we began the show and was like, “I love that you named her Mary Margaret after the woman who could have possibly been the inspiration for Snow White,” and they were like, “What are you talking about?” I was like, you can find online — but most of the pages you have to get translated because they’re in Russian or something — but I had said that Mary Margaret was clearly named after Maria Sophia Margarita. And they were like, “No, seriously, what are you talking about?”
It’s from that article.
So our speculations that MM was named after said real person, are completely wrong! That seriously took me by surprise! Now the question is, WHY that name? And why does she come up with it in Red-Handed??
[adrotate group="5"]miaParticipantIsn’t it red as blood, because blood is used to curse the apple? Not in the original fairy tale, but in the Disney version. Maybe I made that up, but I always thought it was because of that (and red looks tastier than green or yellow …).
miaParticipantPersonally I didn’t mean for the Huntsman himself to come, just that whatever help he meant is going to. Whether it’s himself or his wolf or controlling another wolf or something else I don’t know. I think it’s would be one of the latter, simply because the actor for Graham isn't yet credited anywhere, but they might have done that on purpose. It would be cool, if it was the first option. 🙂 And if the whistle came up again, of course. xD

miaParticipantThank you so much! I bet that by next week, it’ll be one of the most active forums. 😆
miaParticipantNo. The story of Peter and the Wolf is another. Peter is this boy who goes into the woods to kill a wolf with his grandfathers rifle, even though his father prohibited him from going into the forrest. There he meets a duck, a little bird and two other animals I forgot. Each character has a different instrument (the duck for example is the Oboe, the little bird the piccolo flute). In the end the grandfather and other huntsmen come to rescue little Peter from the wolf.
Hm, I read somewhere there was love interest for Red, maybe it’s Peter? Or maybe he’s the one killing all those people … He’s the wolf, would be a nice twist of events.
miaParticipantAww, that’s just cute. I’m a really cheesy girl, but I truly hope, it doesn’t end up so cheesy. 😆 I mean, the whole story is a fairy tale itself, but still I hope breaking the curse doesn’t require a kiss.
I like your, rumplegoldfankristi, theory of how Graham remembered, anyway.miaParticipantThat comment also suggests, that though Regina knows she’s the Evil Queen, she doesn’t remember everything. She did remember Belle and she keeps David and MM apart, so that would be sort of weird. Very strange comment. I guess I’m just overanalysing …
miaParticipantI wondered about the name as well. How the heck did she choose those? And Frosty … Frost Jack, haha.
There’s an edit button on top of everyone of your posts btw. I don’t mind double posting, but just if you ever want to change one of your posts. You can also delete them afterwards.
miaParticipantWOW, that’s gruesome! >.<
LOVED the Mary Margaret part! 😀
God I can’t wait for the episode. *_*
And that are enough smilies … -
