That was also my first thought, I’ll have to re-watch the episode. But I think they meant, that Rumpel is at that exact moment at his castle and Regina is telling him Belle’s dead …
I’m like rumplegoldfankristi (though I only read the last paragraph) and I abree with hjbau. Knowing that you shouldn’t expect too much of something can be quite good. It’s very easy to get disappointed and knowing what’s coming you can appreciate the parts you might have overlooked if you saw it for the first time and focused on the “wrong” things.

As for Emilie de Ravin’s encore as Belle, “She’s got a nice little scene” with Grumpy, continues the EP. “She’s sitting there [alive], with the person who loves her [Rumpelstiltskin] not realizing it, and he would be someone I would not want to piss off.”
This tells us where to put the event in the timeline. After the EQ went to Rumpel’s castle and told him Belle was dead.
We haven’t seen any so far and by the way the Blue Fairy acted with Dreamy/Grumpy I don’t believe there are any male fairies. They would probably distract each other … That’s the feeling I got from it. But we don’t really know. If there are no male fairies, are they hatched as well? xD
