Lot’s of people have been speculating about it. They commented it also on the podcast.
Personally I like the Miller’s Daughter-theory better and Rumple always seems sad when he talks of his wife that he lost. Would seem rather odd, if it tuned out to be the EQ. Also, apparently Rumple is centuries old and I doubt the EQ is that old (even though she’s powerful).[adrotate group="5"]Hehe, I only made the comment about the clothes not being German, ’cause I am. ;P
The design is based on the Jägerhut (hunting hat) or Trachtenhut (traditional clothes hat) which are part of the traditional clothes of the regions of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria (both in the south of Germany). They may have some special name in the different dialects, but I couldn’t find any.
I liked the touch with the hat, escpecially since the Grimm brothers come from Baden-Württemberg and the Black Forrest was the inspiration for the forrests in their stories. 😀
Oh ok. Yeah, the hat is. 😀 Or at least based on the tradinional hats in the south. I loved the hat.
I agree with ciela_crow about the Victorian part. A friend of mine is really into that kind of clothing and she said it reminded her of it.
Anyway, using the EQ clothes as time references is helpful, as we know she only started using black after the King (Snow’s father) died. 🙂
Why exactly are you saying it’s German?
Hänsel and Gretel’s clothes may look like it, but the EQ doesn’t. Not to mention she’s also wearing pants. At least I don’t see it. Do you have a pic to relate that?
