ParticipantThe word used in the spoiler is ominous..meaning…foreshadowing of evil…an omen…foreboding evil…etc. In other words it doesn’t sound good at least the way they are putting it.

Gold wishing he didn’t know who Bae is here does work with the Nealfire theory (since it makes him related to the Charmings and his life all the more complicated), so that checks out. As for Henry–perhaps he has magic like Emma? Oooh–since the Queen had to kill “the thing she loved most”=Henry Sr., to enact the curse, perhaps young Henry must be sacrificed to undo it? After all, if the curse had never happened, Henry never would have come into existence. Then again, I can’t see Disney killing off a kid–so maybe he’s the “key” in some other way?
And as much as I would love to see Hook out of the Axis of Evil, I think it would be much more interesting if it was Regina. Plus, we know Hook won’t give up his chance at revenge.
Didn’t think about Henry being required as a sacrifice…You’re right about Disney might not wanting to have a kid sacrificed but even if that were the prophecy perhaps they would find a way around it…perhaps one of his parents might be able to sacrifice themselves in his place (I am including Emma, Neal, and Regina in that)…and I’m not thinking this season’s end but series end…if this is indeed an complete change in direction for the series.

ParticipantThere is no way they would kill him off now…but they could let a bad prophecy hang over his head for the rest of the series run.

ParticipantProphecies…lol didn’t they learn their lesson from Lost about seeing the future…wrote poor Charlie into a corner and had to kill him off and sunk my PB&J ship. Anyway because of the way most of the hints have been given it does sound like Rumple is the one that is the subject of the grim outcome. I doubt he would be killed off at this point though. If the prophecy couldn’t be stopped it would probably be held off until the end of the series.

ParticipantI’m just going to put this out there…I think I heard this on one of the official podcasts that they might be exploring the dark fairy that Snow got the fairy dust from that she and Charming defeated the trolls with at some point. Is it possible that the Blue Fairy is really a Dark Fairy in disguise.
ETA: If Snow had used this unconventional enchantment and Eva had lived then Regina would never have become her step mother and might not have ever gotten to the point of being pushed to punish her by casting the curse. Even Daniel might have lived and escaped with Regina since Snow would not have been there to tell Cora about Daniel. Was this the BF’s way of trying to stop the curse from happening…can she foresee anything or did she have contact with the seer?
With that being said we know that BF could have told Rumple about making a wardrobe from an enchanted tree and spared everyone the curse but she did not…so was she trying to keep Rumple from Bae all this time? I mean if Eva doesn’t die…the curse isn’t cast and Rumple doesn’t get to Bae the either. I don’t know it just all seems suspicious imo. That and the fact the BF is showing up in quite a few episodes after Manhattan.

lol is there a 3rd choice.
Yeah…I get it…this is supposed to be their happy ending…but it still feels sad. I guess maybe that gives a little hope though…like someone said a few posts back this season has a lot to do with not being able to go back and live in the past. That doesn’t give me much hope for Swanfire…but if Pinocchio can get a second chance to live his life again maybe Emma and Neal can find each other again. A slim hope but it’s something.
Well some people are theorizing now that maybe the BF has a hidden agenda for doing this to August because he might know too much. If they do it that way and leave open the door for someone to return August to his correct age, then I think it could be a really interesting idea.
đ I just posted that theory on another thread …I actually think it was to your post. Twilight Zone moment.
But yeah if BF is evil or really a dark fairy then yeah I think that is really a theory that could pan out.

Now on the SwanFire front, I wonder if Neal makes up a lie about having a girlfriend/significant other because he sees himself as unworthy in Emma’s eyes, and that Tamara is from FTL too somehow. (Although I guess she could be both, but I’m thinking it’s only the latter.) Or Emma just assumes that there’s something there when there really isn’t. The more I think about it no matter how understanding a significant other might be, I don’t think that Neal would have her come to Storybrooke if she was just a regular outsider. It would be too dangerous for both Storybrooke residents no matter how much Neal might trust her and for Tamara if she were just a regular person who didn’t have any kind of skill and/or knowledge about how their world works.
After seeing the pictures of her watching August turn back into a boy she’s probably FTL. And she could really be Neal’s girlfriend.
And since the Blue fairy is looking more and more like she may not be the good guy in all this I wonder if she has ulterior motives in turning August into a boy again….perhaps as a boy he no longer retains his memories of his adult life…and anything the Blue Fairy might of told him or he saw her do would have been forgotten.

“continues his quest”–does this mean that they aren’t reunited in Manhattan? Wouldn’t that mean that Neal isn’t Bae, and if so, where’s Bae?
My thought is that this means Rumple and Bae are reunited buy very briefly. I think the bigger reunion will come in this episode, and then given what Cora and Regina are up to, Rumple will have to go back to SB. The question is will NealFire follow Papa or follow Emma back to SB?
He could come to SB for Henry.

Here’s some more spoiler information:
Once Upon a Time | ‘Manhattanâ â IMO, itâs the best hour of the season and one of the strongest since the pilot. And while some of you believe to have the mystery of Rumplestiltskinâs son all figured out, I shall relate a lesson Baeâs dad is about to learn from a sneaky seer: Just because you know whatâs going to happen doesnât mean you know whatâs going to happen. I relayed a couple scooplets in Ask Ausiello, but here are more: Hook proves adept at translating treasure maps but less so at fending off witchy women; David and Mary Margaret have a rather hilarious conversation about their family tree and what Thanksgiving dinner might look like this year; a three-month-old mystery is solved; Cora, sporting a modern-day Maine makeover, has a tender talk with Regina; and a grim fate is surprisingly revealed for a major character. Also: Thereâs some terrific work by both Robert Carlyle and Jennifer Morrison. http://tvline.com/2013/02/14/once-upon-time-svu-teen-wolf-community-spoilers/
Just posted this on another thread…thought the part about Hook fending off witchy women was kind of hilarious…and the grim fate thing for a major character…I wonder if this is why Barbara Barnett was so worried about Rumple?…if maybe the grim fate was revealed for him.
