Baelfire himself is only because it’d be a sweet happy ending for Rumple but would his finding him be at the cost of losing Belle or will Belle eventually remember?
We were finally told that Neal is Henry’s father. So we will have to wait and see who is counterpart is (either a character itself or a descendant–of maybe another character)
I don’t buy into the descendant theory…as far as storytelling goes it has zero impact…if Neal and Bae are one and the same then Henry would be Rumple’s descendant…to make Neal a descendant instead of Baelfire himself would be redundant imo.
As for the Belle or Bae thing…I’ve wondered about that for a while…Does Rumple have to give up one in order to be with the other…I mean Belle is all of a sudden out of the way when it looks like he is about to find Bae…did the writers do that simply because they wanted to remove Belle for a while to build the relationship between Bae and Rumple or is there more to it.

As for Belle’s true love’s kiss…one of the big mysteries of OUaT for me personally…it’s supposed to be able to break any curse and yet Rumple resisted when she first kissed him…I’m beginning to wonder if the one who is cursed is unwilling to give up their curse that even true loves kiss might not be able to break it. If that were true, Belle kissing him might not matter…either that or he has perfected a way to resist.
That sounds like a reasonable explanation, that one has to be willing to give up the curse for the kiss to work. The other time we saw a kiss not work was with Snowing, when she didn’t remember. The kiss did work when he almost sacrificed his life for her, so it’s fair to say that she was willing to give it up when that happened and they kissed again.
So perhaps Rumple just isn’t willing to let his curse go yet, and no amount of kissing can change that. Only glitch with that is that when he kissed her in the hospital, I got the sense that in that moment, he would have given it all up to bring her back. But it didn’t appear to affect him.
Perhaps it depends on who is doing the kissing..Belle kissed Rumple in his castle with the intent of breaking his curse…he kissed back and the curse was breaking until he found out what she was doing and resisted. He kissed Belle in the hospital with the intent of curing her amnesia but she did not kiss back much the same as the first time Snow did not return PC’s kiss. Snow had to in turn be willing to kiss PC. What I’m trying to get at is that maybe the one who initiates the kiss is the one that determines whose curse is about to be broken. And in the case of amnesia the kiss must be returned by the target. I hope they eventually explain it all…it really is kind of foggy imo.
Of course the big difference between Snow and Belle’s amnesia is that Snow only forgot PC (and a darker personality emerged). She had all her other memories intact so I would think responding to PC would be easier for her than Belle responding to Rumple. Belle not only does not know who Rumple is…she doesn’t know anything about her past life in FTL. If she still had the Belle personality (or at least some memories of the life that gave her that personality) she might be drawn to Rumple quicker but as far as we know she has nothing to draw upon. I have a sinking feeling that they may drag this one out…especially since there is a good possibility that Neal is Bae…most of Rumple’s time may be spent in that storyline rather than the Belle one.

ParticipantWell I guess I’m glad I’ve never seen Human Traffic. I loved Rush…so sad when SGU was cancelled…but was thrilled to hear they had cast RC in OUaT…knew they were getting a top notch actor. Seen the Full Monty too.

I didn’t really notice anything that stuck out while looking at Lacey Township on the map. Double Trouble State Park is located partly in Lacey, and I could see that being a place that Nealfire may have landed given that trouble has followed Neal around all his life…
Double Trouble State Park…never thought of him landing in a wooded area…always pictured him popping into an alley way somewhere…don’t ask me why..I have no idea lol. But I do think it would be interesting to see how he adjusts to our world. At 14 I would think it would have been harder for him to adjust to our world than August or Emma.
Emma knew nothing of FTL and Pinocchio was still pretty young when he came from FTL (although I’m not sure how long he was a wooden puppet over there). I would think that Bae would be in shock at all the things that he saw…our technology probably would have looked like magic to him. And I would think he would have learned real fast that he couldn’t use the name Baelfire to introduce himself. People probably would have looked at him a little oddly.

Yes, I wanted to see them all go back together in the yellow bug too, but maybe they’re saving that surprise for Nealfire to see later.
I really love that .gif (such a guy thing not to want to ask for directions) and tweet from MRJ. I also saw that he and a bunch of the other actors went go-kart racing again. It sounds like it would be a blast to work up there with them.
I do hope they make mention of the car…the expression on Neal’s face that she kept it all these years…priceless(I am expecting his trademark grin)…the expression on MM and David’s face that Emma/Neal lived in it…priceless as well…wondering if they’ll want to ride in it now though.
Yeah…I saw the thing about the races…MRJ won 😀 …poor Josh…from the sound of it he didn’t do so well that first round…good to see the actors get along so well outside of work though.

I believe the picture of Dylan used in the poster/ad that we see in Tallahassee and Skin Deep was taken at the same photo shoot. Because the camera angle is just a little bit different than the poster, I don’t think the picture used in the poster/ad is one these three poses…but I do think the picture used on the poster was taken at the same time and during the same session.I think I agree with you on this…the difference in the pose is that the one on the actual cover he is looking up more hence the difference in the nose. In most of the other pics his head is tilted down a little more…that sort of thing can make a bigger difference in how someone looks in a picture that most people think.

ParticipantFrom what I’ve heard they did not get one this time…if it isn’t on the OUaT wiki then they probably don’t have one yet…the wiki is pretty good at getting them up as soon as they hit the web. Today’s Sunday though…We may be getting a new promo tonight sometime. 😀

ParticipantI just wish they had brought the yellow bug…for some reason I have this insane desire to see everyone’s reaction to finding out that Neal and Emma used to live in the thing.

ParticipantIf he is in SB with Regina then I think it would stand to reason that he must have lost his mom right before the curse was cast since his dad is supposedly comforting him over his mom…like Cinderella was pregnant for 28 years… I would think his dad would have to be doing this for 28 years….unless we are about to find out that they are outsiders and came to Storybrook and like Phee said inspired Regina to adopt a son.
Who knows…if they were outsiders that came and went we might be seeing this kid as an adult further down the line in Storybrook again. If I wasn’t so convinced that Neal was Bae (plus MRJ does not have blue eyes either) I would say they could have made him a young Neal…but I really do think he is Bae at this point. I guess Greg could always be an option.
ETA: okay after realizing that the title is Welcome to Storybrook(at this point I can’t keep any of this straight lol) I am leaning toward Ben and Owen being outsiders that enter Storybrook. Welcome to Storybrook could have the beginning of the curse…Owen and Ben coming to Storybrook…and Greg checking out Storybrook (since he’s already arrived) as parallels. (with Owen and Ben being within the Storybrook flashback part).

In the odd chance ‘Lacey’ isn’t the name of a person/character – Lacey Township, New Jersey is pretty much along the Jersey Shore line – and if Nealfire is true, this could be the location Bae entered this world (based on Neal’s wanted poster..) But part of me is just wanting some Dylan Schmid backstory before the actor gets too much older. 😆
This is interesting and it would be great to get Nealfire’s backstory if Manhattan winds up being strictly about Rumple.
