Personally, I think Jefferson may have known about Rumbelle through his association with either Rumple or Regina (by keeping his ear to the ground)…it’s just an assumption of course…they haven’t really shown us much of Jefferson’s past except in Hat Trick. As for why he did it…I think the dialog points to him wanting Regina dead.

Regina: What are you going to do? Kill me? I know you want to, but I also know you can’t.
Jefferson: Do you?
Regina: Yes. You don’t have it in you. Now, if you excuse me, I have to save my son.

And later when he was with Belle

Jefferson: My name is Jefferson, and I need your help to do something that I can’t. There’s a man. His name is Mr. Gold. Find him. All you have to do is tell him where you’ve been, and that Regina locked you up.

Lacey Gold doesn’t work for me. I think Gold is going to be involved heavily in the next few episodes…I just don’t see them devoting a whole episode to him that quickly after Manhattan especially if it winds up being his backstory.

I never watched it but now all I can think when I see this title is Cagney and Lacey. Like getting a song stuck in my head.

This…in fact I think they made it obvious that they were showing real world with the ipod and music…as soon as the music stopped(sort of like a modern day version of a record needle being dragged across a playing record) the whole atmosphere shifted to a more fairytale like feel and then here comes the pigeon with the postcard.

I was basing it on what Emma said…her assumption is that he is indeed immortal but you are correct we really don’t know that for sure however I wouldn’t put it past the writers to let her saying that be their way of confirming it…they’ve been leaving a lot open like that lately.

As for Belle’s true love’s kiss…one of the big mysteries of OUaT for me personally…it’s supposed to be able to break any curse and yet Rumple resisted when she first kissed him…I’m beginning to wonder if the one who is cursed is unwilling to give up their curse that even true loves kiss might not be able to break it. If that were true, Belle kissing him might not matter…either that or he has perfected a way to resist. Then again maybe true loves kiss and just kissing are two separate things. We certainly don’t see that wind affect every time MM and David kiss. Really just thinking out loud on this…they haven’t made it too clear at least imo.

I think I’m going with you on this one…even when Belle went to Gold’s she didn’t introduce herself…I got the feeling she didn’t have an identity.

ETA: and to have a name for a title makes it sound like this episode will revolve around this person (assuming it is a name and not something else entirely)…which makes me think this may be someone completely new (perhaps just my thinking)…maybe those saying this is Greg’s Her are correct and we’ll be introduced to her in this episode like we were introduced to Dreamy(Grumpy) in Dreamy (that is the only other name title isn’t it?…can’t remember).

I’m kind of wondering what all these “pleasures” were that kept drawing him back to Phuket in the first place. He talked about it being beautiful and an amazing place where one could lose oneself. I just wonder if he was referring to the island itself or if their might have been some specific things there that drew him. Someone else (can’t remember who) suggested he might have had a girlfriend there.

lol begins…I’ve been counting down since we found out about Manhattan before we knew it was Manhattan…and it has been agony. From Episode 6 to Episode 14 is a long wait but when you add the hiatus’s in there…sheeesh…glad it’s coming to an end soon. 😀
