Maybe it’s the one from Alice in Wonderland. It’s the only distinctive tea set I can think of.
But on the other hand how would Gold get the tea set from Wonderland.
I’m still going to vote for it. The other ones we know where they came from , so this one stands out.[adrotate group="5"]mickeyParticipantYou’re welcome.
Luckily everyone can read what you’ve written about this fandom and make judgments about how it sounds for themselves.
The term “personal attack” is overused in my opinion. A personal attack is in fact when someone makes insulting or abusive comments about the other person to invalidate what they are saying. I haven’t seen any of this done on this forum. I don’t consider refering to what other people said to make my opinion or express my feelings about it a personal attack. As long as it is done in a civilised manner of course.mickeyParticipantI don’t agree with you. Pretty standard, I guess.
For me he is exceptional as an over the top Rumple and convincing while conveying emotions. Way better than the rest of the cast. Besides I’ve seen RC in many other productions and I respect him as an actor too much to even consider passing judgements on his acting skills the way you do.
I’m sorry you got annoyed with the people here because they don’t like the same things as you. Think how boring this world would be if everyone had the same opinion. The discussions in this forum are possible because people have different opinions. I think they have every right to like Rumple and his episodes just like you have the right to express your love for Emma and her episodes. There is no reason to get annoyed by it. It’s a natural thing.mickeyParticipantBut the whole character of Rumple is supposed to be over the top. Just as it is supposed to be difficult to be read by people. You are not supposed to know what he is trying to convey exactly. It’s intentional. Mystery and certain ambiguity- these are his trademarks.
mickeyParticipantRumple-centric episodes are fillers? What are you talking about? He is the one who designed the curse and set everything into motion. It’s because of his change into the dark one he lost his son which drove him to make this whole curse. Without him there wouldn’t be this show, there wouldn’t be the need for any struggle, there wouldn’t be Emma the saviour, Snow and Charming’s love etc. He’s been involved in the lives of all the characters in FL. The episode with Belle was important because it showed that despite the dark curse he is capable of loving someone.
You want the first episode to be about Emma, she’s your favourite character. I get that. There is nothing wrong about that. But let other people hope that the first episode will be about their favourite character instead of dashing their hopes by saying in a pretty self-righteous manner that it is highly unlikely.
My opinion that you don’t like Rumple is based on what you write about that character here. You always write negative things, even though it’s evident that he’s not a black and white character. And don’t get me wrong I don’t think it’s obligatory to like him or find his storyline interesting. It’s perfectly fine. But to express your dislike for a character in every single thread devoted to him is another pair of shoes.mickeyParticipantIf the actor, as you put it here, is not deep with emotions, then who is.
I’ve always thought that when Rumple told Bae his mother was dead he was lying. He just didn’t want the boy to investigate any further or start looking for her, and by saying so he stopped this conversation. That’s how I interpreted the scene, but I guess we have to wait for writers’ explanation. I don’t think anything so far suggests he killed her though.mickeyParticipantThe first episode being Rumple-centric is as likely as it being The Charmings-centric, I think. Just because we don’t like something doesn’t mean that it doesn’t make sense from the point of view of the writers. I just hope that the first episode won’t revolve around Charming family reunions only. That would be extremely boring to me. Besides their reunion can probably be done in one scene. I don’t see the need to drag it out. And getting back the kingdom, well I know it will take place in S2, but we all know the outcome of it. So it’s not interesting enough for the first episode in my opinion. The opening episode has to be exciting enough to get viewers hooked to watch the rest of the series. I’m just not sure that family reunions or getting back the kingdom are like that.
I guess for some people the final scene will always be about Rumple’s power hunger and period. It probably stems from the fact that they don’t like the character. But from the point of view of the plot that explanation doesn’t make sense. The guy worked on the curse for centuries, then willingly got himself transported to the land without magic where he was stuck for 28 years so that after these 28 years he could get back his magic. That’s ridiculous. I thought it was obvious that he’s got some agenda ( most probabably finding his son) and he released that magic because he needs to do something with it.mickeyParticipantI’ve been wondering about the same thing in Mother Superior/Blue Fairy thread. I’m leaning towards the theory that it is a plot hole. I think Bae did love his dad despite his Dark One form. That is why he took such desperate measures to save Rumple from himself. I think Rumple might have been able to resist the transformation, but the Blue Fairy should at least have had the decency to tell Bae about that possibility instead of straight away sending him to another world . He could have tried true love’s kiss first without telling his dad why he is kissing him.
mickeyParticipantNow we know that parental love can be considered true love in terms of curse-breaking and that the true love’s kiss between a parent and a child can break a curse. After Emma broke Henry’s sleeping curse Mother Superior/The blue fairy said herself that it was true love’s kiss.
So I’ve been wondering why the blue fairy didn’t tell Bae to kiss his father and thus break his dark curse. For me what Rumple and Bae had was definitely true love. Was she just an idiot or did she want all of this to happen. Or maybe it’s just a plot hole.mickeyParticipantI think that when they say that all magic comes with a price, they refer to the people who use magic, even when they got it from someone else, to gain something for themselves. Like the people who made deals with Rumple had to pay that price.
Rumple is actually careful not to use magic for anything too serious. For example, he isn’t the one who enacted the curse, so the possible repercussions of that move didn’t affect him.
I’m not sure we can say that Rumple brought magic to SB. He rather brought it back to the land that had lost it due to the dark curse. Magic had been the natural element of this world before the curse. I’m not sure that’s the same thing and that there are going to be consequences. It can be treated as restoring the natural order of things. But I guess we will see.
The price for rejecting Bae and Belle, I think Rumple has already paid. He lost both of them to magic that he chose. He had to live without his son for centuries, and we still don’t know what had happened to him. He had to live for about 30 years believing that he indirectly caused Belle’s death. I’m not sure if paying the price has to involve losing someone permanently. -
