ParticipantBut didn’t Cora say that she had to make a ton of deals in order to gain what she had? And since it’s been confirmed that Cora is the original miller’s daughter, something tells me that she made those deals with Rumpel. The only thing of any real value that she possesses is magic. Yes, she a large estate and lots money, but Cora said herself, power is the only thing that lasts. I think she made a deal with Rumpel to gain her powers.
And I think killing someone powerful in order to obtain their powers only applies to the Dark One. What about the fairies? What about Jefferson? And what about Emma’s magic? She didn’t have to kill anyone to gain her magic. So far, the only person who had to kill in order to obtain their powers was Rumpel. I think that’s a trait that only applies to the Dark One.

Rumpel brought magic back for a reason. He often plays two sides against the middle and gets what he can from the situation which I think is what he’s going to do with Snow/Charming and Regina. He’s going to direct everyone’s fury towards Regina whilst carrying out his own plans before finally taking his revenge on Regina towards the end of the season. I think Rumpel knew that when he brought magic back, Regina would be able to use it too, so he’s got a plan for that should the need arise.
You’re probably right. I’m just curious to see how he’ll be able to redirect everyone’s anger from him to Regina. I mean, he’s done it before, but now that the curse has been broken, you’d think that it would be a tad more difficult than before. I guess it all depends on whether or not people know who the true creator of the curse is. I think people still assume that it was Regina. He may be able to use that advantage, but only for a limited amount of time.

I completely forgot about true love’s kiss. A kiss on the cheek or forehead from Bae would have definitely worked. I don’t know why the Blue Fairy didn’t tell him that. But then again, this could all just be a simple plot hole. The writers needed to find a reason why Rumpel to created the curse, and that couldn’t happen if his own personal curse was already broken. Sometimes details are sacrificed for the greater plot. Sad, but true.
I’ve been wondering about this too. A simple kiss from Bae could have solved this whole fiasco. But like you said, if Bae broke Rumpel’s curse, then there’d be no show. I just hate it when writers ignore details in order to push the plot forward. Especially when it makes otherwise good characters appear to be shady. The Blue Fairy could be perfectly benevolent, but because of the writers’ attempts to use her as a harsh plot device, the audience views her with suspicion.
You may be right. The writers have placed the Blue Fairy in an awful lot of strange situations. Situations that all made her appear less than honorable. Of course, it could all just be a writing inconsistency with her character, but it would be more interesting if she had something up her sleeve. But nothing bad though. I’m no sure if I could see the Blue Fairy as a villain.

I’d also love for Belle to become a series regular. But even if it doesn’t happen next season, she’ll still have an important role to play in the overall story. The very fact that she’s romantically connected to Rumpel puts her right in the middle of the plot. π
Plus, the writers have already confirmed that Belle’s story will carry over into season 2. And the fact that the season finale left off with Belle standing by Mr. Gold’s side gives me hope that we’ll be seeing a ton of her next season. π
