That’s a very interesting the idea. The parallels would be very interesting to explore if that’s the case. Baelfire spent his childhood trying to help return Rumpel back to the loving father he once was. It would be sad to learn that Baelfire made all of these sacrifices only to wind up making the same mistakes his father did. Tragic irony. 😥
Speaking of all magic coming with a price, why haven’t any of the other characters paid a price? What about the fairies? They’re just as powerful as Rumpel and Regina. Possibly even more so. Especially the Blue Fairy. So, why haven’t they paid a price? If ALL magic comes with a price, then why haven’t they paid? Hmm…maybe the writers will show us their backstory in season 2.
Yeah but Mr. Gold got magic and Belle. Emma and the rest of the town are still at the mercy of Mr. Gold and even Regina to a certain extent.

Judging by the way the episode ended, I think Belle is here to stay. Couple that with the fact that Emilie de Raven’s show wasn’t picked up, I think we’re going to be seeing plenty of Belle in season 2. 😉
Right? I almost lost my wits when I saw her laying in the asylum. I almost wanted to shed a tear or two. 😥
I can’t wait to see what kind of relationship Belle will have with Mr. Gold in Storybrooke. Now that Mr. Gold has his powers back, Belle’s going to have to brace herself for the Dark One. 😯 But hopefully, Belle being Rumpel’s one true love will ground him a bit and keep him centered.
I’m still in the camp of believing that Mr. Gold released the magic so that he could find Baelfire. We saw just a few episodes back that he was ready to give up his magic for August. But that was when he thought he had actually FOUNF his son. But since he was mistaken, he’s back to believing that he needs magic to find Baelfire. He’ll give it up when he finds Baelfire. But dang it, he better find him soon! 😯 😯 😯

I disagree. I was actually surprised by how touching it was. I also loved the tears of joy Mr. Gold shed when he finally saw her. And the hand on the shoulder move was so sweet. 😀
