Why hasn’t Regina used Belle to bargain with Rumpelstiltskin?
Edward Kitsis: That is an interesting thing because if you’re going to enter into a negotiation like that, you need to have extreme leverage, because if you came to him, like, in the last episode, and said, “I’ll give you something that YOU want if you do this, I have Belle locked up,” and I’m Mr.Gold, I would probably just choke you and then go release her. So I’d say that for Regina to unveil that information has to be done in a way that won’t lead to her death. Because once he finds out what she’s done, God help us all.LOL!!! I’m actually hoping that Mr. Gold ends up choking Regina when he finds out. 😆
But I’m glad the producer addressed why Regina hasn’t used Belle as leverage yet. They’re absolutely right. Regina needs to be careful about how she handles Belle. It could very well lead to her death. Or at the very least, a wheelchair. 😆

ParticipantHmm…I’m not sure if I would like the cliffhanger to be whether or not Emma dies. First of all, it would be abundantly obvious that she will in fact survive. And second, I don’t want Emma’s life to be threatened at all. At least not right now. It’s too early for Emma to be in that kind of danger. The writers should save that kind threat for future seasons. I’d rather the writers build up Emma’s hero status before they truly test her against other new threats.
I’d rather the cliffhanger be once the curse is broken, they all end up in the door room in Jefferson’s hat, and it’s up to Emma to chose a new world for them to live in. Since Fairytale land no longer exists, the twist will be that they can never truly go back home and it’s now up to them to choose a new home. I’d wait all summer to see what chooses. 😀 I have a strong fascination with Oz and Neverland, so I would love to see them do that. 😀
And didn’t Jennifer Morrison say that season 2 will have the same characters, but a different “adventure?” When I hear the word “adventure,” I naturally think of other fantasy worlds. 😉

ParticipantI have a feeling it’ll be either be Jefferson or Malificent. 😉

ParticipantThe spoilers said that the death “won’t stick.” Another one asked “would they actually kill off a child?” They’re talking about Henry. Right now, it appears that Henry might die, but of course we all know that the poison he consumed was only a sleeping potion. The spoilers were referring to Henry. I don’t think anyone else is in danger except for a few side characters.

True but he is stuck in SB and if Bae is somewhere else that can’t be the prime focus at the moment. The first thing he needs to do is to get out of dodge and that is to have the curse broken so he can be released to find Bae. That was what I meant by side mission, It more like a secondary objective which he cannot get to untill he finishes the primary.
Oh, I understand you. 😉 And you’re right. Mr. Gold can’t do anything if he’s still trapped in Storybrooke.

ParticipantI’m stuck between romance and mystery. I love what they’ve done with the romances of Belle and Rumpel and Snow and Charming. I love how their romances are always written as epic tales. It’s very sweet. I think I’ll go with romance. 😀

I think he is leaving the same reason he tells Regina to leave. If everyone remembers who they are, they are going to be out for blood. Gold may not be in the book but they will remember who he is. Baelfire is just a side mission at this point, survival is a primary mission. Curse breaks they can come and go from SB and everyone will be all over Gold and Regina like white on rice.
I don’t think finding Baelfire is a side mission. He’s spent hundreds and hundreds of years trying to find him. He sacrificed the previous world in order to do this. I don’t think that counts as a side mission. I think the reason why he wants to leave is so that he can finally look for his son.

ParticipantMe too! I was beginning to believe some of the theories that said Belle was going to die. I’m so glad to say that they were wrong. Introducing Belle as an integral part of Rumpel’s story and then killing her off is just ridiculous. So, I’m glad the writers wised up and decided to keep her around. They would have had a lot of pissed off Belle fans if they didn’t. 😆
