ParticipantI chose Baelfire. 😀 After learning that he was sent to (presumably) our world, I’ve been trying to figure out who he is ever since. But then again, I have this sneaking suspicion that the Blue Fairy either lied or accidently sent him to Oz. The flying monkeys in Henry’s book, August’s green telephone, the green Oz-like door in Jefferson’s hat, Baelfire falling through the green vortex…all of these point to Oz possibly coming into the picture at some point. 😉

ParticipantI chose Mr. Gold. 😀 He’s made an effort to align himself with both Emma and Regina. So, no matter who wins at the end of season, Mr. Gold will walk away with his own victory.

I think AugustI’m right there with you. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to hold on much longer if Rumpel/gold were to die. 😥
However, I think it’s pretty safe to say that it won’t be Mr. Gold. Judging by the recent spoilers, it seems like it’ll end up being Henry. But it wil only be a temporary death. I think he purposely eats an apple pastry laced with the same sleeping potion that Snow White consumed in Fairytale land to prove to Emma that Regina really is the Evil Queen. But a kiss from Emma will revive him. 😀

ParticipantAWESOME IDEA!!!
I think I might offer up a summary or two. I’ll post it later on today. 😀

I don’t think Bae is dead but I am with you on other points you made. I don’t think they will rush into their happy ending in season II either. Keep in mind who is writing the stories. They are gonna torture us for sure. But I do believe Belle will play a major role in Rumple’s turn.
I also agree Mr. Gold won’t be dead or the show will be so over. But still can’t tell if he could have a happy ending at the end. So have to keep our fingers crossed.
I try to always keep in mind that what’s going to happen doesn’t really depend on logic or what I expect it to be, but on what the writers will decide! And, from what they usually do, I see a lot of “turn-arounds” and “oh-come-on-don’t-do-that-to-me” coming!
As for why he’s helping Emma to believe, I still haven’t decide if it is because of Bae or his powers. I was willing to bet on the power, but, maybe, he is really changed.
It’s obviously for Bae. I don’t think he wants his powers back. He created the curse to take him to a world without magic. He even gave his dagger to August to prove to him that he was done with magic. So, gaining his powers back is nowhere in his plan.

Presumably, Regina kept Belle as a hostage in FTL (episode 12) before she made a deal with Rumpelstiltskin about the dark curse (episode 2). She didn’t realize that he would keep his memories of FTL when he came to SB. So, she thought the “please clause” would pretty much be null and void. Regina wasn’t banking on Rumpel actually remembering his FTL identity or that he’d be able to get whatever he wants just by saying the magic word “please.” That is Mr. Gold’s trump card. I think that if Mr. Gold ever finds out that Regina has Belle in SB, he could very well use the please clause. He would have to be very careful in his wording to specify that Regina hand over Belle unharmed and alive. Another possibility is that Mr. Gold could call upon Emma to retrieve Belle as the favor that she owes him.
Very good and interesting points. 😀 I also think that Mr. Gold’s favor from Emma will have something to do with Belle. Well, either Belle or Baelfire. 😀

Having Regina as your official gurdian is definitely not the position you would like to find yourself in.
I’m still hoping Belle manages to run away from the asylum, possibly with someone’s help. Maybe Jefferson will land somewhere near her hospital cell in the next episode and give her a hand. The chances are slim though.
After the spoiler about Belle having a scene with a “very popular male guest star” was released, I'm almost certain that it'll be Jefferson. I hope he breaks into the asylum and rescues her a way to get back at Regina.

ParticipantI don’t want Regina to have any more leverage or Mr. Gold or Belle either. But knowing this show, that may very well happen. 🙁

The please let Belle go will work if he only knew Regina had him. It is like any hostage situation. It never works out for the taker. Gold can never know where she is or who has custody of him. Yet, without Gold knowing about it makes Belle a useless pawn. The please throws the pawn thing out of play. I think she is going to escape. That is the only scenario that changes the game.
I agree. Escape seems to be the only plausible scenario for Belle. And I aslo think Mr. Gold’s please clause has its limits. To what extent are those limits? I’m not sure. But there’s a reason why Mr. Gold has yet to use his please clause for something substantial.

The Wizard in the Wizard of Oz did not have magic. He was just a man behind a curtain. The witches had magic. The good ones and the bad ones.
That’s what makes it so perfect. Baelfire doesn’t believe in magic. So, I could easily see him using science to fool his populace into thinking it’s magic just like how the original Oz did 😉
