I just read this theory in another thread. What does everyone think of the idea of Baelfire becoming Oz? It actually makes sense. The green vortex, being the son of a wizard, and the tragic irony of it all would make for some wonderful drama. I really like the theory.
That was me! π I love the theory too. Baelfire put so much effort and sacirifce into helping his father let go of his powers. It would be so sad to see that he himself had succumb to the power of magic. And plus, I’m anxious to see what the show does with the story of Oz.

Yeah, right now Bae is kinda yesterday’s news. There isn’t more to really say about him to fit the rest of the story. The show is not about Rumple/ Gold, Belle effects to story as well as Gold, Maleficent does the same thing to. Bae only effects one person and that’s Gold. It seems to focus in back on Regina, MM, David, Emma and Henry.
It depends on who Bae grow ups to be. Because if the Oz references are of any improtance, then I’d say Bae may be more important than you think. π And on top of that, there are the theories about him being Henry’s father, so there’s still a lot to be reevaled about him. Jane Espenson said that Baelfire’s story will be very improtant in season 2. So, we will see. π

ParticipantYeah, i think she got the magic from Mr. Gold. π
JEFFERSON’S BACK!!!
Glad to see that he’s still angry at Regina. But for the love of God man, DON’T TRUST REGINA!!! Seriously, she’s giving him the same BS she gave him back in Wonderland. π

Wow! Thank you so much for posting those! I’ll be heaven for the next few days now. π
I also agree that Belle and Rumpel’s romance was very genuine and heartfelt. I didn’t truly realize just how much Rumpel loved Belle until the scene with Moe French and the scene where Regina return the chipped cup to Mr. Gold. Before this episode, I didn’t really expect anything substantial to come from OUAT’s version of Beauty and the Beast. It just looked like another episode of how Rumpel dooped another poor girl. π But after the episode finished, I was grateful for the episode. The writers turned a potential disatser into a masterpiece. It was so beautifully done. I still think Skin Deep stands as the season’s greatest episode.
I was also surpised at how well the episode turned out. I thought it was just going to be The Price of Gold Part 2. π
Belle and Rumpel’s story could so many different ways. But I’m excited for all the possibilities. This is the only story that has actually managed to touch my heart this season. The show can be really cheesy sometimes. The romances are cheesy, some of the episodes are cheesy, some of the acting is cheesy. But Belle and Rumpel’s relationship was very adult. Not in the admirable kind of way, but in it’s content. Their story was very dark and gloomy. And the thought of Rumpel believing for all these years that his one true love died a horrible torturous death…*Tear* π₯

ParticipantI think the spoiler is either about Malificent or Baelfire, but my bet is on Malificent. Even though, we may get a surprise appearance by Bae.
I think Belle is scheduled to appear in Storybrooke alongside Jefferson. π

ParticipantI’d like to call that Dr. Whale is the Wizard of Oz, and has been secretly working for Mr. Gold the whole time. Mr. Gold will also call upon Dr. Whale to seek revenge against Regina for kidnapping Belle.

The only reason I take issue with Pinocchio’s hair and eye(?) color changing is that when Mr Gold figured out that August wasn’t Bae, August taunted him a little bit saying, “Do I even look like him?”. That sort of indicates that The adult should bear some resemblance to the child. That’s my only beef.
That’s my problem too. I’m actually beginning to think that the casting directors hired two completely different looking actors just to throw us off. Usually, I like those sorts of tricks, but when the show has already established that they pay close attention to the physical appearance of the characters’ younger counterparts, it makes Pinocchio even that more frustrating. Little Snow looked IDENTICAL to Snow White and Mary Margaret. Everything about her screamed Ginnifer Goodwin. So, why couldn’t the casting director do the same with Pinocchio?
