SORRY, but I pretty much disagree with everyone….
Geppetto had a right to want to save his son… wood or real why is his son of less value then Emma. I will not FAULT Geppetto for wanting or demanding to save his son.
As for Emma believing, there has been NO evidence except the book which can be looked on as a book of fiction, folk lore not history. YES, she knows REGINA IS Evil and not good for Henry or anyone else. I want to know what other evidence has been presented? Emma has no way of knowing what has occurred in FTL, we might know but Emma does not.

BTW if the episode has been shown you do not need to use the spoiler code to cover your statements….

Preach sister! I agree. If I had a son or daughter, I’d do anything and everything in my power to save them. And good parent would do it. That’s what parenthood is about. π

ParticipantAww! I love this! I love Belle and Rumbelle. I’ve even begun collecting any and everything that reminds me of them. π

ParticipantEven though I WANT Emma to believe, I wouldn’t believe that BS at all if I were her. π I’d send August to the mental asylum. π
I think people’s frustration is because we NEED her to believe. There’s a sense of time running out and more and more people are remembering their past identities. But the reason why those people is because they were either the engineers of the curse (Rumpel and Regina), they’re crazy (Jefferson), or they managed to escape the curse (August). None of these things describe Emma. I think Emma needs something personal to happen to for her to truly believe. I’m just praying that doesn’t have anything to do with death or tragedy. π₯

Midnight Dreary, shall we go a step farther out on the limb and say that Mother Superior remembers FTL, knows the whole story? I want to also say that the “August is Bae” con was her idea, as a test to see if Gold has changed and therefore deserves a reunion with the real Bae. This is the only way I can forgive August for the cruelest of lies–if it’s meant to serve a higher purpose.
A side benefit to BF’s plan: by putting her fairies in a convent she ensures none of them will run off with dwarves.
Oh, definitely! No offense to August (I love the man to pieces), but I don’t think he could have possibly thought of that plan. It was too brilliant. I think he had outside influences helping him. Either the Blue Fairy or Bae or someone else that we don’t know about.

I also think that the reason Rumpel refused to help Emma in the clip was because he wants Emma to do it herself and speak to August and maybe believe.
I hope so. I want Emma to win at least one battle against Regina. π

ParticipantOoo! I like the idea of Ruby finding Belle. Wait…wouldn Ruby even count as a guest star? I thought she was a supporting character. A guest star is someone like Belle or Jefferson. Someone who isn’t a series regular, but is given at least one or two episodes.

I always love seeing polls about characters. I’ve seen similar results on other websites too. After Skin Deep, Rumpelstiltskin became incredibly popular. I visited 5 different online polls and they all had Rumpelstiltskin as the winner. I’ve seen this type of phenomenon before. The writers set up the story so that the heroes and good guys are meant to be the center of story, and thus the most popular. But the villains or anti-heroes always come out on top as far as the fandom is concerned. But writers always tend to write villains with more depth than the other characters. So, it makes sense that they would have more fans.
Thanks for everyone’s response!
I agree. Villains and anti-heroes tend to be oddly more sympathetic than the actual heroes. I don’t know if it’s the writing or America’s decline in moral values… π π π

MIdnightDreary, are you calling that the BF has been watching after Bae ever since he arrived in our world, or since the curse was enacted for these last 28 years or … that he was brought to SB by the enacting of the curse…? A little more explanation, please… not necessarily the whole theory, but what are you calling exactly here and where it fits in your thoughts.
Oh, I’m calling that the Blue Fairy has been watching after Baelfire. π

I think Mr. Gold and August’s tearful faux reunion is probably a red herring in regards to how the real reunion will go down. Like Lissy stated, there will definitely be a lot of harsh words and tears when the real reunion happens.
I can definitely see this happening. However, trying to predict what their reunion will be like is a little difficult without a timeline. How old is Baelfire? I think his age will determine his reaction. The older he is, the longer the pain will simmer. The younger he is, the more raw his feelings of loss and sorrow will be, which might cause him to opt for an early reconciliation. He was a just a little boy, so his longing for his father will eventually take over.
I agree. Baelfire’s reaction may be different depending on where in time he was sent. It’ll be very interesting to see. π
