ParticipantThat’s EXACTLY what I think will end up happening. Not this seaason, but season 2 is definitely a possibility. I’ve actually read theories that said Mr. Gold wants Emma to become the new Dark One. However, those theories were created before we found out about Mr. Gold’s mission to find Baelfire and the lack of magic in Storybrooke.
I could definitely see Emma trying to control the Dark One. The only thing that worries me about it is that Emma could end up being fooled like Rumpel was. I don’t think Emma would ever kill Mr. Gold, but I do think that he could end up manipulating her into thinking that she has the power while the real power secrets still lies with him. SCARY!!! π―
Another interesting aspect of this the cusody battle is the father. It all depends on how it turns out. If Mr. Gold gets custody of Henry due to DNA evidence (Baelfire theory ) then Emma won’t be able use the law on her side. The law will clearly side with Mr. Gold. So, she may end up resorting to drastic means.

ParticipantWow. The Pinocchio story actually looks pretty interesting. If the writers play their cards right, it can turn into a brilliant story. π
I’m glad Mr. Gold turned down Emma’s case. It’s better that she fights this battle on her own. Well, I guess it won’t be entirely on her own. She eventually seeks the help of August. Another reason why I’m glad Emma won’t be working with Mr. God is because it would be ridiculously out of character for her. Didn’t she just get finished accusing him of kidnapping Kathryn a week ago? Why is she seeking the help of someone who she suspects kidnapped one of her friends? Come on now Emma. π
The scene between MM and Regina actually made me have more sympathy for Regina rather than Mary Maragert. However, I’m not sure if that was the writers intention.

Someone needs to save Mr. Gold from himself and return him to the loving father he once was.
You couldnβt have said this better! I completely agree with you. Rumpel has been slowing killing himself with each innocent life he hurts. The light of hope within him that was from loving his son is diminishing. If someone doesnβt save him, he will drown in his own pain, ultimately loosing his humanity. That is when he will become a true beast.
So true. It kind of reminds me of what August is going through. The more August lies, the sicker he becomes. With Rumpel, the more harm he causes, the sicker his soul becomes.
I hope that made sense.

ParticipantI think Mr. Gold and August’s tearful faux reunion is probably a red herring in regards to how the real reunion will go down. Like Lissy stated, there will definitely be a lot of harsh words and tears when the real reunion happens.

ParticipantHmm, some very cool things in this latest promo:
-Snow and Charming kissing, pressumably after Snow wakes from her deep slumber.
-Snow laying on the ground after she takes a bite from the poisonous apple.
-Charming swinging a sword at Rumpel (When will people learn? RUMPEL IS NOT AFRAID OF SWORDS! π )I’m curious about the scene between Charming and Rumpel. Does Charming seek Rumpel out to make a deal with him? I know it doesn’t look like it (the sword bit), but in “Heart of Darkness” Charming came to Rumpel looking for help about Snow and he still pointed his sword at him. So, we’ll see. π

ParticipantWelcome to the forums! I’m also hopelessly obsessed with this show too. But hey, I’m not complaining. π

Rumpel created the curse to find his son, which is sweet, but in the process, damaged countless lives. Do you think Bae will be able to forgive his father for causing a great deal of pain? As much as I personally want a happy reunion, I could see Bae being furious that Rumpel caused so much evil and guilty that it was all for finding him.
Oh and since we already saw a fake happy version of Rumpel’s reunion with his “son,” I doubt the writers would make the actual one the exact same, easily forgiven type. They are gonna have to add some kind of twist so the audiance is not just watching a repeat. What do you guys think?
I don’t know why, but I have a feeling something bad will happen to Baelfire. Not anything tragic like death, but I think the next we meet him he’ll be…damaged. I don’t see Baelfire surviving everything that has happened to him without a few emotional scars.

I just don’t understand why we should back away from certain topics.
Some posters tried to give reasons earlier why they find the character sympathetic. Not everyone has to agree with their reasoning, but their explanation seemed logical and solid.
Were their points argued plausibly? No. They got completely brushed off with a claim that the only reason why they find sympathy for the character is his gender. I didn’t like the comment and I made it clear. I am not going to apologize for it.I wasn’t necessarily backing down. I was just trying to change the subject so that I could maintain the peace. Do I still disagree with what she said? Yes. But hjbau and I have been pretty friendly up until this point, and I didn’t what that to change. π
