Wow everyone here has made such good points :ugeek: So did anyone else besides me nearly start sobbing when Mr. Gold gave that heart felt speech and the most sweetest, teary eyed, hug to who he thought was his son? 🙁 And I just about lost it when Rumpel was screaming Bae’s name after he fell into our world.

I loved his speech too. I was very happy to see Mr. Gold own up to some of his evil deeds. Too bad it was for nothing. 😥

And the way Mr. Gold held August in his arms and cried…TOO. SAD. 😥 😥 😥

I loved that scene too. When Mr. Gold held August in his arms and called him his “beautiful boy,” I DIED!!! 😥 😥 😥 Guys, he called him his beautiful boy. This show is going to kill me.

Henry told Gold he wanted the present for MM to be something special and he ended up giving her a BELL. Coincidence? I think not! So now we know that Rumpel had to resist Bell’s love because he needed his power to find his son. The man is torn between two loves 🙁

I agree. In an effort to retain his powers so that he could save someone he loved, he ended up pushing away the other person he loved. Belle. 😥

I think the dark magic that Rumple gained has blackened his soul. He was a good man to begin with but when he gained evil power, it was only his love for Bae that kept that spark of humanity in him.

I agree. The evil power of the Dark One took hold of his soul very fast. It blackened him. But like the Blue Fairy said, Baelfire is that small glimmer of hope for Rumpel. He’s the only good thing left in him. I’d also add Belle to that list. 😉

And I agree, Crimson Angel, I also want to see Rumpel defeat Regina. 😀

Going into last night’s episode 19, I really believed that August was Baelfire..and at some point wanted him to be Baelfire

BUT, After watching last night’s episode 19 reveal I am so relieved that what I thought wasn’t correct. August is only fascinating as far as he’s “mysterious”…but now that we know the full story of why he wants to “escalate” the process for Emma to believe…my interest in his character is waning.

So, he’s probably Pinnochio AND the 7 year old who found Emma. He was probably cursed back into a wooden boy to escape the dark curse before the EQ unleashed her curse…so that when the dark curse happened it would undo the pinnochio curse and he would be a normal boy. Since he would be exempt from the dark curse he would age just like Emma did.

I hope when Baelfire enters the series this’ll be a more dynamic character…and someone to give Mr. Gold a real opposition. In the same breath..I wonder why the writers chose to approach the reveal this way and have Mr. Gold throw all his emotions wide open. I guess this shows how much he really does believe in “love” and can wait even centuries to be reunited with his son…and to be able to hold out hope for that long..WOW! Maybe, this is also a primer for us when the time comes he finds out Belle is actually alive in Storybrooke.

LOVE all of your thoughts. I agree, having August be Baelfire would have been great, but looking back at the episode, it wouldn’t have made any sense. Besdies, there’s still so much story tell about Baelfire. Was he really sent to our world? Was sent to another fairytale world? Who did he grow up to be? Peter Pan? Oz? Merlin? Jack? Robin Hood? SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!

And I also can’t wait for Mr. Gold to be reunited with Belle and Baelfire. But knowing these writers, they’ll probably throw a wrench in it or make us wait a thousand years. 😥

Before last night’s episode, I never even would have entertained the though of Baelfrie and Emma ever having crossed paths. But now…I don’t know. Baelfire landed in our world before the curse took effect. And the Blue Fairy did refer to the vortex as a “time hole.” So, that could possibly clear up the discrepency in the timeline. So, Baelfire could have landed in our realm and met Emma a few years after.

And didn’t Emma refer to Henry’s father as “bad news?” Dude, the son of Rumpelstiltskin? NO KIDDING!!! 😆 😆 😆

The part where Bae was sucked into the vortex was pretty heart wrenching.

Yeah, that scene really tugged on my heart strings. 😥 I know I keep harping on this, but I would love for Baelfire to have been sent to another land. Neverland and Oz would be ideal places for him. I could totally see him as Peter Pan. But then there’s that whole Jack and the Beanstalk thing that was introduced in last night’s episode. ME CONFUSED!!! 😕

I loved that quote too. I loved how his story came full circle…sort of.

I refuse to accept that August is Pinocchio. We were mislead to believe he was Bae, and they’ve given way to many obvious clues that he’s Pinocchio for him to actually be Pinocchio. August states, “Do I even look like him at all?” That right there, once again, confirms that these writers aren’t going to make him Pinocchio. I don’t know who but I have yet another theory:

There are too many donkey references to be ignored so I’m still leaning toward the story of Pinocchio, but what about Lampwick? I’m going to attach all the screen shots I took instead of typing everything…

Well I can only attach 3 so I’ll post more.

Ooo! Good point. August did make a point of saying that he didn’t even look like Baelfire. So, obviously the writers are telling us that they play close attention to the physical similarities between the actors. I hope this is a sign that he’s not Pinocchio, but it seems so….inevitable. 🙁

I’m not even sure if I can choose a least favorite part of the episode. I loved it so much. 😀 But alas, I shall try.

    Favorite:
-Robert Carlyle in…EVERYTHING. That’s all.
-I really loved seeing Baelfire again. I loved how supportive and desperate he was to save his father from the power of the Dark One. I hope we see him again. He was a great character.
-Like many of you, I adored the scene between Mr.Gold and August. It was so sad and full of raw emotion. I couldn’t help but shed a tear or two during that scene. I also loved seeing Mr. Gold confess his sins and admit to his mistakes. It was like August was a priest and Mr. Gold was going to confession. Very lovely and almost spiritual.

    Least Favorite:
-Sydney, you are so far gone that I can’t even see you as a real character anymore. Wake up dude. Regina is going to steal your soul. Get out while you still can. 😯
-Kathryn’s return wasn’t as…important as it should have been. But I’ll excuse it. The episode was way too awesome for me to cry over one scene.

Plus I’m hoping this addresses some of the Belle withdrawal we’ve all been feeling- they said shed appear twice before the finale!

OMG! where did you get that info? I would love that Belle appears before the finale. I mean, we haven’t seen her since ep15 and it would be weirdly sudden to just see her in the finale. I’ve been looking at the imdb.com character appearance lists and didn’t find her in any ep between now and the finale though..

If Belle does indeed appear before the finale, it could be in this episode. In one of the sneek peeks Regina is p****d off at mr Gold because of Katheryn’s reappearance and Gold just seems to brush her off. Perhaps Regina pays a visit to Belle to cheer herself up with the fact that she has someone Gold loves hidden away and he doesn’t even know it.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. This may be the big betrayal that drives Regina of the deep end. 😯
