ParticipantHmm, maybe Bae didn’t travel through time. Maybe he was sent to Oz or Neverland, but remained there for centuries. This would definitely be possible for him in Neverland. So, maybe he lived in Neverland for hundreds and hundreds of years, but when the curse came, the fairies sent the children through another portal to save them.

ParticipantI actually love that the clues are either red herrings or at the very least, misinterpreted clues. Most people think that the “I am not a liar” clue pertains to Pinocchio, but maybe it’s really about Oz. Oz lied to his people about being a real wizard when in fact, he was just a normal man. Maybe that’s why he wants to kill Rumpel. If he kills Rumpel, then he’ll become a real wizard.
And I love that she actually listed a few of the fandom’s most popular theories. That kind of semi-confirms (at least in my head) that August is neither Bae or Pinocchio. I think the writers only want us to think that.
I think we have some big surprises coming up!

ParticipantGAH!!! thanks for posting the sneak peeks!
I have a feeling Kathryn is faking in her scene with David. It was just a little too…perfect. I hope I’m wrong though. I’d love for David, MM and Kathryn to all be friends someday.
*Sigh* And Bae. Bae Bae Bae. OUAT writers, why must you always pull on my heart strings? 😥 I agree with the theory that maybe Rumpel’s quest for more power ends up getting him punished in the form of him losing Bae. That’s probably why he’s always saying “All magic comes with a preice.”
But I’m still curious about what that green vortex is. I can’t help but think it’s either Oz or Neverland.
And is it just me, or did Bae seem errily like…like…August? I don’t know. He’s just really reminded me of August in that clip.

Look, yes Rumple is in control of Storybrooke but everyone in SB thinks its Regina. She is just a pawn in Gold’s plan whatever it is. Like everyone else he comes across or rather comes to him need something and gives nothing in return unless the benefit favors him whether it be now or later. Everyone is a pawn who come to him for help and are indebted to him. Everyone will blame Regina for all of the bad things that will come about and not realizing that Gold is the real enemy or not. Belle is his weakness Regina holds onto her because she is her nuclear option for fighting Gold. With respect to belle either in FTL or SB it appears Rumple/Gold loses it and in a bad way. she means a lot to him and most likely regrets everything that transpired between the two of them. Belle is the key to Gold/Rumple. She will become more in important in the future than we realize. I call that she’ll be a regular or at least see her often enought in season 2.
I agree with every word you just said! Except for the part about Belle becoming an official series regular. I see her as more of reoccurring character that will have numerous appearances throughout the series, but not an official slot in the main cast. But then again, if her new show doesn’t do do well, then who knows. 😉
The fact that the writers are waiting so long to show us Belle again tells me that she’s going to play a big role in the finale. They’re doing the same thing with August’s identity. Whenever a show makes its audience wait, that means they’re planning something big. The producers have been pretty tight-lipped about Belle’s return which leads me to believe that’ll be really important. But one of the writers did say thatBelle will play a significant role in the season finale.

Since Rumpel takes on two different personas (Beast and Rumpel) I wonder which story line the writers are going to follow when it comes down to the end of the series. This is how the two original grim stories end….
Rumpel = Rumpelstiltskin “in his rage drove his right foot so far into the ground that it sank in up to his waist; then in a passion he seized the left foot with both hands and tore himself in two.” Other versions have Rumpelstiltskin driving his right foot so far into the ground that he creates a chasm and falls into it, never to be seen again. In the oral version originally collected by the brothers Grimm, Rumpelstiltskin flies out of the window on a cooking ladle.
Beast = His curse is broken by Belle’s true love kiss and they live happily ever after.
Rumpels story is quite gruesome…I hope that doesn’t happen! I know the writers always tweak stories, but it seems like they take a similar path. Maybe it will be a mixture of both?
I understand what you are saying but is Rumple taking on the persona of the beast or is his character replacing the beast. The same can be said of the cinderella story except he replaced her with himself by killing her and then granting her wish with stipulations. there is an apples to oranges argument here but in the Beauty in the Beast case they simply inserted Rumple instead of introducing a whole new character. The beast and Rumple are one and the same to me in this case. Red was a character who took on the persona of the wolf simply because she was the wolf and so was Granny.
I agree. In the OUAT universe, Rumpel and the Beast are the same person with the same destiny.

I call that Jefferson is Regina’s half brother, her mother’s firstborn, and that Jefferson helped trap Cora in another world and in doing so somehow lost his wife, either Cora killed her or she was also lost in another world.
WHOA. I really, really, REALLY like this theory!!!

ParticipantLissy, why did you post this? YOU KNOW I CAN’T RESIST RUMBELLE!!!!!
Don’t look at me! I’m crying too much right now!!! 😥 😥 😥

ParticipantI agree with you both, mia and EdChambers. I would love for the writers to take a complete left turn and shock us with either August’s identity or the season finale. I love being shocked and surprised. Come on writers!

So I was watching Beauty and the Beast a few days ago, and I realized another connection between the two shows. Gaston threatened to send Belle’s fathers away to a mental institution (because no one believed he saw the beast) if Belle did not agree to marry him. I thought it was interesting OUAT tied in this story line by having Belle locked in the institution for unfair reasons. Did anyone else notice this?
Ooo! Good observation! 😉 I like the parallels between Belle’s father being locked away for believing in the Beast and our Belle being locked away for believing fairytale land.

Participant-I want to see Mr. Gold work some real magic in Storybrooke. That would blow my mind!
-Mr. Gold and Belle to reunite.
-Emma to believe in the curse and become the new mayor
-Learn August’s true identity and hopefully, becomes a series regular
-Jefferson to return and become a reoccurring character or series regular -
