One of the things that has be doubting the whole Nealfire thing is… Someone sent Neal a postcard… so why isn’t HE coming to SB? Why is Gold leaving to go find him?
I know Gold doesn’t KNOW someone sent Neal a postcard but… that part seems weird and like it might come into play. i.e. Emma refuses to go with Gold, or they don't make it out before Neal comes in or something?I want to know what happened to August!
I have a feeling the writers are setting up a big chase between Gold and Nealfire this season. Rumpel will leave Storybrooke to go looking for Baelfire, while at the same time, Neal leaves New York to visit Storybrooke. I think we’re going to have a few episodes with Gold and Neafire constantly losing track of each other’s trail.
midnight drearyParticipantSQUEEEEEE!!! This episode is going to have possession over me for months!
midnight drearyParticipantI’m excited to see the big showdown between Hook and Rumpel too. There’s a brief glimpse of Gold rolling over Belle in one of the promos, so something bad happens to her. She’s obviously not dead (she’s been seen onset filming), but she might end up getting hurt in some fashion. Whatever it is, I think the big showdown will happen towards the very end of the episode, which will probably lead to a pretty epic cliffhanger.

These aren’t parallels. They’re recycled story lines. I fear maybe the writers are either out of ideas, or that they’ve lost feeling, and thus ambition for the show. Either way, I absolutely see how they can do a 360 and really make it shine. I realize how they want people to concentrate on a core few, among their characters. The only one they should center on so strongly in each episode, is Emma. Otherwise, they’ve got to get out of the box they’re in. It’s hurting them to be in there.
Yes, I agree. It feels more like a recycled storyline designed for Regina’s redemption arc rather than a genuine plot development. I hope the writers add an extra element of surprise to make it separate from MM’s storyline from last season.
midnight drearyParticipantI understand. I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree on this one. 😉

I’m not just comparing her to Snow White, I am comparing her to most of the women on this show, all of whom have been shown to be fighters. Almost all of them have held a sword and fought.
I just feel like it is old–Mulan, Snow White, and Emma have all fought with swords. And the rest of the main female (Regina and Cora) have used magic to fight. I’d just like a little variation.
Belle already had a strength of character. She was smart and determined and willing to sacrfice her life for her family, friends, and village. She stood up to Rumpelstiltskin and was unafraid to speak her mind.
Are you sure? Because a good portion of your comments about Belle have been complaining about her being too weak.
