For cryin out loud … I don’t question that Belle is Rumple’s true love. I question the concept of just ONE true love ever possible in someone’s life, and thus what the nature of the relationship between Rumple and Cora might have been at some point in their shared history.
Adam and Eddie have already confirmed that each character can only have one true love. Only one.
Where, when did they state that? Source please. I really would like to know.
If so: Then they better kill Ruby this Sunday, because things look really grim for her then. And no hope there for Regina ever, poor Evil Queen, but she can still try to find true love to her adopted son. Oh, right, Peter was maybe not Red’s true love just her first love, big difference. And same for Regina. Whatever each prefers to believe in.
Sorry when I am getting cynic here, but I honestly believe that the concept of only one true love in life is creating more problems than doing any good. And for story telling it creates plenty of plot holes, one later has desperately to fanwank away. (And I have over 20 years of experience of explaining the unexplainable to make stories in my fav shows work against all reason and within their own logic. so try me) 😈
Actually, trying to insert real world rules and ethics into a show about magic creates an awful lot of plot holes as well. Like I said in my previous post, this is a show about fairytales and a good portion of them are modeled after the Disney versions of those fairytales. Trying to judge the show by real world standards isn’t going to work. Trying to make a fantastical concept like magic make sense is kind of useless. Magic will never make sense because it doesn’t really exist.
[adrotate group="5"]midnight drearyParticipantHere you go. It wasn’t Adam who said it, it was Lana.

And yes, the idea of one true love does make sense for the show. It’s a show about fairies and magic. It’s a show where true love’s kiss can break any curse. This isn’t the real world. Yes, there are real world elements to it, but when you’re watching a show that features dragons, magic and fairies, then you can throw the rule book out the window. It’s called fantasy.

I think Adam and Eddie have confirmed that each character can only have one true love. But I’m not entirely sure.

But it won’t matter in the end anyway because she’ll probably be killed off in this Sunday’s episode.
Good point. No use in debating whether or not Rumpel and Cora would have made a good couple. It’s in the past and they’re currently trying to destroy each other, so the obvious answer is no. I remember Rumbelle fans getting all riled up when they found out about Rumpel’s first wife Milha, but we all saw how that ended. 😆
lol. I just wrote this super long essay on true love and really An Empty Heart and Midnight Dreary have it spot on: it doesn’t matter.
Ooops, sorry. 😆 But I agree wholeheartedly with your post. I would have written the same thing if I weren’t so darn lazy. 😆

Rose, I love you. I truly do. You’re fabulous honey. But you’re playing someone who I hate with every fiber of my being. 😆
Agreed. Even her humble beginning that we saw in the first act didn’t do much to make me like her much. Mostly I just glowered at my screen remembering the make out scene between her and Rumple.
Oh God, don’t remind me. Thinking about that scene is giving me war flashbacks. 😆

Interesting clip. I’m guessing after the king locks Cora in the tower, that’s when Rumpel appears to make her an offer.
Yup and based on other spoilers not only does he spin the straw into gold but teaches her to do it too cause there are pics in which Cora does it for the King in front of the court.
Ugh, I don’t want to see Rumpel teaching Cora anything.

I’m sorry, but Adam and Eddie, you’re trolling. You are straight up trolling. 😆
So freaking true. 😆 Adam and Eddie knew those comments would get Rumbellers all riled up. I’m beginning to think they made those comments on purpose. 😆
