The only oddities that I noticed about the dagger in Desperate Souls was that Zoso’s name was very odd. I know it’s supposed to be a nod to some 70s era rock band, but it just seemed like it could have been a much bigger clue. The Blue Fairy told Baelfire that the Dark One’s magic doesn’t belong in the Enchanted Forest. A lot of people took that as a clue that the original Dark One wasn’t from the Enchanted Forest. And I may be stretching here (and I probably am 😆 ), but all the “z” and “o” in Zoso’s name made me think of “Oz.” Like…the Wizard of Oz. Maybe the Witch of the North bannished him from Oz and sent him to the Enchanted Forest or something. Once again, I’m stretching. 😆
Having said that, I do hope Chernebog factors into the show some how. He always reminded me of the Dark One, and I’m glad that someone else has noticed the similarities.

Um yeah, I’m pretty sure Neal remembers Emma. You tend to remember the person who you planned to spend the rest of your life with.
^I don’t think anyone has suggested that he did. It’s already a well known fact that Mr. Gold didn’t have his memories until he heard Emma’s name in the pilot episode. So, any connection he feels with Henry probably comes from the fact that he reminds him of Baelfire.
