ParticipantOh, that is soooooooooooooooooooo Baelfire.
The part that jumped out at me was the whole “running away from his past in a dangerous land.” ๐

ParticipantHere’s a few tidbits about the future of Belle and Rumpel’s relationship from Emilie de Ravin. ๐
Emilie: โBelle will likely not try to change Rumple, but bring out the lightness in him – the part only she seems to know exists within him. She is in love with him for his tortured soul and what she sees inside him. She will be perhaps less predicatable and a little darker: the effect of living with the darker character that is Rumple.โ

Participant^I’m pretty sure most people knew August was Pinocchio. I just think a lot of people wanted him to be Baelfire instead. ๐ So, no one was really shocked.
Personally, my side theory is that Baelfire is Oz. I actually really like the theory of Bae being Henry’s father, but if he isn’t, I’d love for him to be Oz.

ParticipantWait a minute, then it looks like the last episode of the season is going to be a Rumpel centric episode. The opening sequence for the last one shows the infamous beanstalk from Jack and the Beanstalk (Baelfire).

I know people keep repeating that, but when was Belle actually anti-magic per se? All I remember was that she wanted to break his curse, not because using magic was a part of it, but because it made Rumple evil. I don’t know. Maybe I’m just missing something.
No, you’re right. She was never truly anti-magic. She was just against dark magic. More specifically, the magic that turned Rumpel into the Dark One. All she wanted to do was rid him of his curse.

^Hmmm…it sounds like she won’t be as angry at Rumpel as we thought. I wonder how far the writers will take it? I doubt the writers will make her totally evil. That wouldn’t make any sense. But I can defintiely see her seething with anger over what Regina did to her.
But what’s most interesting about these two quotes is that it sounds like Belle will be in, at the very least, partial agreeance with Rumpel’s plans in season 2. Which leads me to think that maybe Rumpel’s plans aren’t actually as bad as the season finale cliffhanger lead us to think. Maybe Rumpel tells the Belle the truth about why he brought magic into the world.
Either way, their relationship is definitely going to be interesting to watch develop. I already know it’ll be the highlight of season 2 for me.
I agree. It sounds like Belle won’t be as anti-magic as she was back in Fairytale land. I think Rumpel finally telling her that reason why did all of this was because he’s looking for his son will turn her around. In “Skin Deep,” she kept trying to get Rumpel to talk about his son, but he kept refusing. Maybe he finally tells her about Bae in the premiere.

ParticipantWait, are these the opening titles for next season? Like…all 22 of them? Because if that’s true, then…AWESOME.
