[adrotate group="5"]My biggest problem, across the board, is that these photos have nothing to do with the show, thematically. Part one of S3 is Neverland; Henry has been kidnapped by two evil minions to be taken to a shadow ripping Peter Pan. His family is looking for him; Belle is in SB and Neal is in FTL trying to get back to his family. How in the world do these pictures demonstrate that?? Emma in a dress-fine. But make it more creative! If you were to show these pictures to someone who has never watched the show before, they’d have no idea who was who or what the theme was for S3. They’d think GG played Aphrodite, not Snow. These pictures are for the fans, to be sure, but also to promote the show for new people. These pics are supposed to be on billboards, ect. Nothing about those individual shots screams “what OUAT!”

I have to admit that I’d LOVE to see a little sneak peek. But on the other hand – in Germany you say: Vorfreude ist die schönste Freude. I don’t know the english translation, but it’s like: the greatest pleasure lies in the anticipation! 😉
While I’m not in love with these photos, I think the negativity is an extreme reaction and that ABC were too quick to remove the photos. What does taking them down accomplish? We’ve already seen the images! So, unless they plan to provide new photos, then it’s pointless to pretend as if the photos were never released. Also, it’s ridiculous that J-Mo had to try and pasify that fans’ reactions with that tweet about Emma in her mother’s dress; it’s like coddling a bunch of teenagers who endlessly fret over their wardrobes. (I don’t mean offense to people who express their views here on the forum, but it’s immature to complain to the stars of the show who work hard to provide a good show and who aren’t responsible for the promos).
You’re right that it was rather extreme that ABC took the photos down so quickly. But on the other hand that maybe a sign that they want to do another set of pics. Maybe? But even if they do that, they could’ve left the photos were they where, as you said we did already see them. That fans complain to actors is just pointless: They can’t do anything about the promo pics ABC releases.
Nevertheless: I would be very happy about new pictures, because the first ones were just sad. 🙁
Wow, great dramatic scenes with Rumple, Hook and David!! THAT will be just awesome! But finding Rumple is maybe not dramatic enough, isn’t it?! Maybe one of them is in mortal danger and has to get rescued or something like that?
I can’t see if it’s a book or a knife… Very hard to tell. I can’t figure out why Snowing stand so far apart and it bothers me, too. What could possibly happen for these two to split up? Do you think that’s a possibility for Season 3? I hope not!!
Snow’s costume in the group shot is what she’ll be wearing in 302 flashbacks. And yes, you’re absolutely right. I want other pics and this was just a poor intern who accidently sent the pics out.
Like you all are, I’m really devastated about these pics. How on earth could they seriously publish this disaster?! We were waiting for them for so long and now – this?! I feel absolutely duped. Every single fanmade promo is better than the official are. They better do them again, because I can’t believe that this is what they can do – they are professionals after all and this is the work of a non-creative 6-year-old. 🙁 I’m just so sad about the pics.
What baffles me is that the production quality of the group pic is actually really great. So what the hell happened with the rest of them that they look so crap?!
That is what I think is odd, too. The group pic is good. I like Snow’s costume in that one. Have we seen that before? Rumple and Regina look really evil – I like it! 🙂
And the CSF pic is really great, too. JMo looks so good.
Also I couldn’t help that notice (from a neutral standpoint, I swear!) that Emma wasn’t devastated by Neals death in ASOTM. She was very sad at the end of SSTTR of course, but i’m thinking that could be she was mourning the death of her sons father, the man she was once in love with. She rallied after that. I can’t help but think that if, for example, Snow or Charming had died, the other one would be incapacitated with grief, failsafe or no failsafe. Like Rumple – he didn’t care to do anything about the failsafe when he learned that his son was dead. This really says to me that Emma and Neal CAN’T be TL, logically, because TL is timeless etc. Emma didn’t really show much sadness in ASOTM, to me anyway. Any thoughts?
I totally agree with you! I thought the same while watching SSTTR. If you really love someone I think you’re much more influenced by the persons death. Like you said, you’d be incapacitated with grief and Emma wasn’t in my opinion. She was sad, but mostly because of Henry – because he lost his dad.
