I never would have thought we get this as a sneak. I won’t watch it now, even if its hard. I wanna see it in the episode. And considering what you wrote Eala – it’s worth the wait. š
Yep she waited for two years ā but she GAVE UP, and thatās whatās important here. She gave up on him, on their dream of Tallahassee. And in their conversation on the beach, she told him he had āfound Tallahassee with someone elseā. And he HAD ā Neal had moved on with Tamara and was genuinely in love with her. Tallahassee has effectively been COMPLETELY SEVERED as a possible home for them. I have a hard time believing that Emma would consider Tallahassee her home when she spent two heartbroken years of her life waiting for him there and hearing nothing.
Yes, you’re right. She gave up because she went away. I’m sorry about me having these throwbacks all the time, but I have to remind myself once in a while that it’s really gonna happen. I tend to be overmodest (I hope thats the right word) about things I really want so that I’m not so sad when it’s not happening. ONLY 4 days (well, 5 for me…) left, then it’s gonna happen, mates!!!:)

Do you mean the map in the cave? Well maybe it is a phoenix-map or maybe itās not, but it doesnāt really mean anything because it was before Neal met Emma, and even if itās some form of foreshadowing the only think that really connects Emma and Neal to Phoenix is their son. I donāt buy this whole phoenix symbolism thing the SF shippers love, because Phoenix was where 1) Emma was sent to jail as a direct result of Nealās choices and 2) Where she subsequently gave up their son So to me the whole phoenix thing has negative connotations and I donāt get the romance. But to each their own! *shrugs*
Yes, I mean the map in the cave. I’m thinking of the whole concept of the phoenix. That it rises from the ashes. It died at one time (like SF) and then it rises again stronger than before from the ashes of a palm tree (the name Tamara means palm or date tree). Maybe this means something, although I hope it didn’t.
In my opinion, what she had with Neal was pretty messed up ā when I go back and look at it I donāt think it was ever really love at all. I think it was a lonely, ālostā teenager desparate for someone to connect with. Emma and Neal were connected in a very BAD way. They were involved in crime together, she ended up in jail, and became an unwed teenage mother. That sounds like a really dysfunctional relationship to me.
And your right with that. That’s what I think too. But Emma clearly felt she loved him. She waited two years for him in Tallahassee AFTER he did all that to her. She must’ve loved him at this point or she wouldn’t have done that IMO. But you could have a point by saying that they found someone they could survive with. This feeling may have lead Emma to thinking she “loved” Neal. I have a feeling that deep down she still feels like Neal is kind of her “home”.
So Hook could be kind of like Charmingās True Loveās Kiss saving Snow after she ate the apple. Is she accepts that he loves her then Pan wonāt be successful in getting her to feel like an unloved orphan. It could even be that Emma doesnāt realize just HOW sure of Hookās love she is until Panās plan isnāt successful ā that could be the moment she realizes that she truely trusts him.

@obisgirl I can’t watch the video cause I’m in Germany. šWell, I think he’s not really stepping back – it’s more like he feels this guilt towards Neal, because he thinks he destroyed his family before. (Thats not what I think – I think Milah chose him, she chose to go with him because she fell in love.) And that’s why he’ll take a moment to see if he could cope with doing this again. But of course like I said after that short while he’ll fight for Emma. Let her know he likes her a lot and ultimately – as you said, Eala – let her chose.
Your theory about the HO in SB and them separating Killian and Emma – I can totally imagine that! Though it would be sad to see Emma hurt again – because she would be if Killian “leaves” her, too. Maybe someone threatens Killian like: “If you don’t go and do that and that, I’ll hurt Emma.” or something like that.
Thank you so much for posting the pic again. Feels. If this is AFTER the kiss then all my doubts are gone. Because THAT is LOVE and nothing else.
What do you all think about the Phoenix-theory the SFers are discussing? It sounds plausible but we don’t know if it really shows the phoenix in the stars, so … ?!
Wow, I’m just now rewatching 3×04 and I had to post again. I only just now noticed how Killian looked at Emma when she was telling Regina that she learned to never break in somewhere without knowing a way out from Neal. Charming talked to him already but his glance lingered on Emma longer as if he wanted to check shes ok. As if he wanted to read her reaction to admitting that. He puts her first everything else. He looks out for her. Wow, one look and I’m dying with feels again. *crying*
So I had a thought about the pics of Charming, and it made me all sad, so I wanted to make everyone else miserable too.
If he and Hook are going off to search for the sextant, he may be thinking that depending on how long that takes, this could be the final time he ever sees his wife and daughter if the poison finishes him off while heās off on this little mission. So when heās kissing Snow, heās probably thinking it could be the last time he ever kisses his wife. And when heās hugging Emma, heās probably thinking it could be the last time he ever holds his baby girl. And now I just wanna curl up in a corner and cry. 
IMO that’s exactly what he is thinking. And it’s so so so sad. š There has to be some kind of cure, there has to be something!
No, I donāt think she will go running back to Neal. I think it might be more of a situation where Emma and Neal end up together (only temporarily) if Hook steps back thinking he is doing the right thing out of guilt because of all the emotions he could have about Neal ā they could end up together thinking they are doing the right thing for Henry. But, again, this wouldnāt really be Emma choosing Neal. I think that the trust issues with Neal will always be there for Emma and just because someone was your first love doesnāt mean that you should end up with them. I think this would only happen if Hook struggles with guilt over Neal ā which I think is possible because he is obviously thinking more about his time with Baelfire since he has been in NL. But I donāt think it would be a long term thing ā I do think they could stretch it out for awhile but it could give Emma even more time to realize that she really loves Hook and is choosing him from a healthy place. But in the end I think that Hook will always remain true to his philosophy that a man who isnāt willing to go after want he wants deserves what he gets (or whatever it was that he said) and will go after her. . . if only to rescue us from a severe lack of chemistry between Emma and Neal as soon as possible!!!!
I like that. There will be some time when Hook will think he can’t do it again. He can’t destroy Bae’s family again. It’ll all come back to him. But after thinking about it he will – like you said – fight for her. Because: “A man unwilling to fight for what he wants, deserves what he gets.” šĀ And YES to Emma and Neal having NO chemistry. I thought this from the very beginning – for me they never had any kind of chemistry, no connection, no sparks flying between them. IMO Emma even had more chemistry with August than she has with Neal.
Love the stills from 3×05. I’m so happy to FINALLY see Killians backstory. They made us wait a long time. I’d have liked to see backstory way earlier. Well, I think they planned to but then Colin broke his leg.
Looking at the tweet I think this is another point pro CS. Neal isn’t actively preventing Emma from knowing he’s alive – if anything it’s the opposite!! He wants her to know he’s alive, but she thinks he’s dead. For me this is a huge sign that Emma does not love Neal anymore.
