There is still another land without magic Baelfire could’ve gone to. (Unless black and white counts as magic.) Actually, if it was Frankenstein’s land, it could make sense. No magic, but still pretty similar to the Enchanted Forest…

THEORY: What if Dr. Whale isn’t Dr. Frankenstein…but instead he is the monster.
We know from the flashback that there are two brothers. One brother, the scientist, brings the other brother, the one with the stitches, to life. Now…let’s make the brothers identical twins. Let’s call the scientist brother, “The Doctor” and lets call the undead stitchy brother “The Monster”. In the flashback, the “doctor” brother needs a heart to bring his “monster” brother/twin alive. He tricks Regina …gets the heart…returns to the castle…puts the heart in the “monster” brother/twin and with a little lightening the “monster” brother is alive. So far so good. But something goes horribly wrong . One of the brothers dies and the other brother, the one we know as Dr. Whale, is transported to Storybrook as part of the curse. We have assumed that it was the “doctor” brother that ended up in Storybrook …but what if it wasn’t . What if the “doctor” brother died, perhaps at the hands of his “monster” brother, and it was actually the “monster” brother who was transported to Storybrook.
Dr. Whale’s arm was ripped off…not much blood and he can get up…put it in a cooler and walk across town??? Not normal.
There have been nods to other stories like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde…also Jack the Ripper…if Whale is the monsters would open up the possibility that these stories are included.
in James Whale’s movie Dr. Frankenstein’s character was named Henry…not Victor like Mr. Gold addresses Dr. Whale. Ironically, one of the suspects in the Ripper murders was Prince Albert VICTOR of Wales.
aww, come on! I was just thinking that!
mujieParticipantI just came up with a theory. Well, barely. Speculation. An idea. I was thinking in horror movie terms and that people aren’t always who they think they are. If Doctor Whale being Frankenstein was too easy, what if it wasn’t? I can’t remember if Rumple called Whale victor in Storybrooke, but if he didn’t? What if Whale is not victor, but his brother? Whale is he monster. He killed his brother. They’re twins. Whale is tricking everyone.
mujieParticipantMagic can travel through time. Although, actually… It could be possible. That when he saw the postcard, he recognised it from stories and realised it was all true…
mujieParticipantI think Henry should become memory. He’s the most qualified, and probably the smartest, and he is the reason the curse was broken…

Been looking through finding some plot holes.
1. Does true loves kiss only work the once or something? When Snow found out she was cursed why not just ask hubby to kiss her again. Rumple said that true love can break any curse. Plus they knew this as the scenes of Snow and Charming in the EF are AFTER he broke the sleeping curse.
2. Then, why the need for Henry to deceive Regina, he knew about the vault, and she had already told him that a) she wants to share all her secrets with him and b) she wants to redeem herself, why not just ASK to be taken to the vault? She couldn’t exactly refuse as he knew about it’s existance and she’s trying to seek forgiveness.
3. Also how could Cora be in the pit and acting as Lancelot at the same time? In 28 years did no one ever happen to notice her missing from the pit when pretending to be Lancelot?
4. Finally if she was trapped in Wonderland with Jefferson why did Jefferson end up in Storybrooke, and Cora end up in the Enchanted Forrest?
1. Magic is complicated. It’s not true love’s kiss if you’re kissing to break a curse. True love’s kiss isn’t those every-day kisses. True love’s kiss is when both people are at the height of true love, when both love each other more than anything in the world. For a few seconds, Rumple loved Belle more than anything in the world and vice verca. He broke it by loving his magic more than Belle again. In this episode, Emma was more important than Charming, so true love’s kiss would not have been that. But that’s my theory.
By the way, I think when they mean curse, they mean anything weaker or equal to the power of a curse.
2. Regina may want redemption, but she doesn’t want Henry to get hurt, same as why David wanted Henry not to be involved. Henry knew that, so he wouldn’t ask.
3. Simple. Most likely, she was never meant to be in the pit! They only told Lancelot about the encounter!
4. That… is more complicated. We’ll find out in another episode almost definitely.
@Everyone who thinks Doctor Whale is Leviathan: Lancelot said he was Levaiathan: “Is that what they call me now?” or something like that?
mujieParticipantProbably at the very end and nothing to do with the episode. Maybe.
mujieParticipantI was kind of thinking it was Baelfire, and deep was refering to the portal. But I’m probably wrong.
mujieParticipantThey’re filming in UK? Where?
mujieParticipantWhat makes you say all millers have the surname Mills?
