I mean, considering who each one of them is, and what their issues are, on paper they’re kind of a perfect match. Not the type who’d really have a healthy relationship, but there’s stuff they could bond over. If they’d taken the time to show them actually fall for each other, I could get behind it, but this whole thing with him falling in true love after one bike ride and then deciding that they belong together forever is ridiculous. That being said, if Zelena falls for him and decides to stay in the Underworld, and it gets her permanently off my screen, then I wouldn’t be overly upset about that.
It actually reminds me of the Underwoods from House of Cards. I mean, they’re both pretty terrible people, but for some reason (I haven’t watched the latest season), throughout seasons 1 and 2 they actually worked as a couple. Like, you could see they loved each other in a really weird, demented way and sought to seek power for themselves.
No one said only good people fall in love and stay together…I’m sure there a ton of not-so-nice people IRL that have spouses/significant others that love them. HAHA.
[adrotate group="5"]musicalfeetParticipantFor the longest time, I suspected that he may be dead. But I thought Merlin said the only thing that can kill him is the completed Excalibur?
Also, I thought the DO and Merlin are supposed to be evenly matched in power, so I don’t think one can kill the other. The reason Merlin said Emma could potentially kill him is because (in my head) Emma has both the DO powers and Savior Light Magic Powers–making her more powerful than any standard DO. I also wager she should be more powerful than Hook, who is just a DO.
musicalfeetParticipantOut of curiosity, do you guys think Merlin is dead in present-day Storybrooke? I really hope not…just because it seems odd to have a powerful Dark One roaming around and not have an opposite counter as well…
And also weird to have imaginary-Nimue around without Merlin, especially after Merlin said he could see her along with Emma.
musicalfeetParticipantI really hope Zelena isn’t actually pregnant…because I don’t see a good way they could get out of that one. Although I suppose they could write it in and have either Lily demonstrate her power/darkness by killing Zelena somehow because it’d be in her best interest somehow. Or Rumple could off her I guess.. I could see him doing that now that he’s back in Storybrooke and doesn’t REALLY need Zelena anymore.
To be honest, I don’t really see the “honor” in staying with Zelena for the unborn child. It’s almost like a sort of Stockholm syndrome thing, since Zelena effectively raped Robin to conceive the child :(. It also doesn’t even seem like Zelena is happy about being pregnant..most new moms are excited to have a child. She’s having the child out of spite.
musicalfeetParticipantTo be fair, Cruella may have been born with a disorder but her mother did her no favors by the way she raised her. Terrorize with dogs? REALLY? How are you not going to make an already messed up child more messed up with that?
She reminds me a bit of the girl in the “Child of Rage” documentary–incredibly sociopathic and disturbed child from really young (however, the girl in the documentary went through some extremely traumatic events like rape, etc). But through lots of therapy and help, the child in the documentary actually grew up to be a pretty well-adjusted person as an adult…
That being said, I don’t understand how this is supposed to turn Emma dark. She didn’t know Cruella was defenseless, and her actions were out of love for her own child. I don’t see that as dark at all.
